2012-2013 Pacific NW Showdown. Presented by Marty Barnes!!!!

Hello everyone! This is Marty Barnes. I want to thank all of you for your support my first year of the series. We had a average of 150 entry's at each race the Showdowns first year. Thank you! I want to thank Tyson Blood of Fusion Graphix for the great work last year. We look forward to your awards this season.

The series will be 5 out of 7 races. Double A-mains, 9 classes. The races will be one-day races on Saturdays, with the last race being a 2-day race, and ending early Sunday afternoon so people can stay for the season-ending awards. The 2- day final will be 4 rounds of qualifying points and we will have triple A mains.

I'm excited to bring all of you a great series that can be one of the best in the nation! Please post feedback with your thoughts.

Aaaahhhh..... Yeah!

I might give it a go this year and race the entire series.

Thankfully there is no discount for racing 5 classes or I would consider it .

JK, two classes, maybe three tops for me.

What's the purpose of SS buggy?

I imagine for mod guys that usually will only run buggy can just run a 10.5 and run 2 classes. And for sandbaggers in stock.

I am happy to see there is a series again this year. I only made it out to the Bellingham round last time, but I am hoping to make it to all this year. Now to decide on classes...

Okay I'm not trying to start anything. Just asking a question here. Since every track gets 2 dates except bellingham, was any thought given to putting the finals in bellingham since they only get 1 date?? Just asking.........

So basically 2 mod buggy classes.. dumb. With the numer of entries it got last year and the number of classes being offered, SS buggy should go away. Mod guys can run truck and buggy. :)

I have attended the finals the last 3 years, and in my experience the finals is usually one of the lower attended rounds. Having a race early in the season seems to be better attended and more of a "reward" if you want to look at it that way.

The good news is that the gold cup is having SS buggy and I expect that will be pretty much the same group of racers as the series. We can see how it goes at the gold cup and then people can have an informed opinion about whether it is something that would benefit the series or not.

SS allows the series to be economically possible , so now you know ....;)

Probably something to do with the "new layout required" for every race. I know there was issues last year getting a new layout late in the season.

Just a way for buggy only guys to get more track time and bring in more revenue for the series... Not dumb in my book. Athough I do hope more will run mod truck and mod SC this year.
