cut tires are tires that are made for one type of RC vehicle and cut down to fit on another type. Such as 1/10 Losi truck taper pins cut to fit on 1/8 scale buggy tires.

so why would you want to use cut tires? is it a cost issue or dose it change the handling? i would think you would have to use the right size tire for an event, but i am the biggest rookie there is so what do i know. i would suggest you call tim at the shop for that decision.

Cut tires are the shizzle, in the past we used truck hole shots cut down and stretched on to 1/8 scale rims, lately, tapers have been working.
Cost? out the same for most of the tires, however, there are not any 1/8 scale tires that work as well on the clay track as cut tires except the kyosho x-pins that cost $35 to $40 a pair before rims and foams, and they don't last.
As for the question, will they be allowed, that is a question for Tim @ Hometown Hobbies.

didn't race wednesday, practiced backwards, it still sucks
