Thanks to all who attended the charity race, i was really happy to see so many racers show up, I believe 58 entries, there were also racers in attendance who did not race but just hung out with us, so lots of people there. I wanna thank the sponsors TM Tires, Mcallister Racing, Team Associated, Great Planes, Castle Creations, RPM Racing Products, Tim,s Hobby Shop, Broadway Hobbies and Big 5 Sporting goods and to Dick Reece for assisting me with promoting and finding sponsors. The track in my opinion was good considering the amount of rain that we had this spring and how much rain we had the day before the race. There were a few things that were a real bummer about how the show got ran, we had some computer trouble/power trouble. When i first got there, we had trouble getting the power to the computer to stay on, turns out the root of that problem was our brand new battery backup power strip we bought at the end of last season for the computer. Then, we could not get the loop working as there was a cable missing from when the computer was hauled over to the track, it was the serial cable that connects the loop to the computer. The computer also had another way to connect the loop through a usb cord, but none of us had the driver for that. I usually bring my laptop all setup with autoscore on it, but a few weeks ago the screen went bad on it and i didnt have it with me as a backup. We got that all worked out, still need to install a driver for the scoreboard to get it working. I think some of the computer errors were caused earlier when we kept losing power when the computer was in the middle of the program. The other thing was the order of the classes, i spent quite awhile tweeking the order, then lost that order on one of the power failures. Next race night will be much better as long as the weather is ok. Thanks for your support everybody.

We did have less cars last night, (50) and 11 heats, but we got the bugs worked out of the program. First race started at 7:02pm Last Main started at 11:29 4.5 hours start to finish. I know the first few races had some issues, but i hope some of the racers that couldnt make it friday will be back soon.
