Default IROCC Speed Weekend Carpet Edition 2012. Trophy Race - Victoria BC. (WCICS Rd #4)

Hello Pacific Northwest USA. This announcement comes from just north of the border. The IROCC club in Victoria BC Canada is pleased to announce its annual carpet trophy race, co-hosted with the NRC club from Nanaimo BC. This year the race is Rd #4 of the Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series (WCICS):

January 6-8, 2012

To attend this "International" race you will need a Passport or Enhanced Drivers License. This is a small inconvenience which will be outweighed by the professionally run, high competition event you'll find here in Victoria. Just ask our biggest fans: Brian Bodine, Todd Mason, Peter Robinson, Bill Evans, Franko Roberts, and Paul Leask. These fine gentlemen have all had great things to say about our race program.

Hey Blake,

The race sounds interesting for sure, but I got a question for you. If a person was staying at the local hotel next to the track, is there some food choices nearby (walking distance), Does not have to be fancy, can even be fast food. I may not have a car with me is why I am asking.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Yes, there are fast-food options and proper restaurant options within two blocks of the track. There is also a grocery store, coffee shops, and a movie theatre all within 2-3 blocks. The location could not be more convenient.

The seas are starting to part. Work is settling down going into the holidays. This going to give me the chance to get signed up, book and plan. Paul and I did the Anacortes boat from Sidney via Friday Harbor this past summer. Wow, that was worth the trip right there! I am totally digging the single mains with bumps. I am personally weary of triples. It makes the main day so much less stressful. And it means that I could run 4 classes without blowing up a charger in between mains.

Excellent, I love my S411 although it has yet to hit the rug, but I have really enjoyed it on Asphalt. I just got my LE S411 ordered up, so I will be building that up next, just gotta sell the standard S411 off. How many Serpent guys are up there. Congrats btw.

Hey Franko,

Yep, no problem. I will have my van with me in Sidney so I can pickup as many as 7 people at a time. Just let me know which ferry you'll be on, and I'll be there.

Hey Brian,

Sounds great; looking forward to having you back yet again! Not sure about the Anacortes ferry schedule in the winter.... It might be a morning-only trip, getting you to Sidney as early as noonish.

PS. You won't believe this, but the name of the room at the facility is called the "Bodine Family Hall"!
