Gearing up for Northend Summer off road...
Ok guys....What do I need?? Will be racing 1/10th truck and buggy. Plan to be a regular up north this year at Skagit and J&S. What tires do I need to stock up on (front and rear) and what turn motors do the regular mod guys run there in truck and buggy? (I have only ran indoor on clay)
Thanks!
Thanks!

as far as Skagit goes, alot of guys run calibers or goosebumps, and as far as motors for mod, its mostly 8.5 or 10.5, but there is a few gys running thier boosted 13.5 or 17.5 and run stock and mod class

At Skagit Goosebumps and Calibers were very popular on the rear of both buggy and truck. I also really liked the Flipouts on buggy. Some guys even ran holeshots/Double Dees when the track was a little more hardpacked.
Goosebumps work in all conditions there.
Buggy fronts most people used a 3 rib, but you can use your indoor clay fronts as well. They actually work pretty good and tame down the steering a little. On truck, using an aggresive tire like a Caliber or Goosebump in the front is hard to drive in my experience, maybe stick to a small rib for now. With outdoor racing, rear traction can be hard to come by and you have to be carefull not to get too aggresive of a front tire sometimes.
Motor of choice for me is a 8.5 in buggy and a 7.5 in truck with a bit of boost with the Tekin Hotwire. Gets you over those big triple jumps
