Season Opener 17th
The season opener is this Saturday the 17th. Bring out your cars for some great racing!
Race Day Schedule
8:00 Track setup
9:00 Open practice/Sign-ups
11:00 Qualifying Starts (3 Qualifiers)
12:00 1st Qualifier Finished / Lunch
12:45 Finish last 2 Qualifiers
A & B Mains
There will be power at the track. There will be some extension cords and power strips that I will be bringing. I would recommend packing at least a power strip and maybe even a extension cord if you have it just in case. You will want to also bring the usual, chair and table, etc. There will be house transponders to use if you don't have one.
I will be showing up early to blow off track and get somethings setup before 8:00. Once the track is setup there will be open practice to 10:30. To help things run smoothly please sign up early so I can get all the pt numbers and classes setup. Don't forget to bring your Roar membership so it can be logged in. If you don't have a Roar membership you can sign up at the track and purchase one.
Weather: I will be posting on RC Tech if there is a rain out. I will post on the race day early, so if you are making a drive from a distance you will have a heads up if the race has to be canceled.

Additional Classes
I've been getting inquiries about running other classes such as gas 1/10th scale, etc. I will be more then glad to add them to the race day. I would say at least 4+ people for an additional class to be run. If you make the effort to come out and there are only 3 people then we will run still run the class. If you have any questions let me know.
Thanks,
Joe

A few rule revisions before Season Opener
The Sportsman / Novice class motor rule has been updated to 17.5 with no timing. This will allow racers to run at other tracks without having to purchase a second motor. There will be a couple of 17.5 brushless motors that you can check out for day and run if you don't have one at the moment.

PT# Roar#
If you get a chance please pm/ email me your pt# and Roar # if you have it. This will help save a lot of time on race day when I go to setup races. There will be house transponders available if you don't have a pt#.
I've had a few questions about novice/sportsman class motor. Your more then welcome to run a 21.5! I will have a few 17.5 motors for people to try for the day(free of charge) if they want to compare the two or just want to try a faster motor. This also brings us inline with the new Roar 2010 Sportsman rules that were recently announced.
From the input and questions I've gotten about track layout changes, we will be changing the track design every couple of races. This will help keep the competition tighter by not allowing anyone to gain a large advantage from more time dialing in on a track layout.
