Jake and Korey continue to refine the track layout, and Saturday they will lead testing and determine the final design. Anyone who desires is invited to participate. Come prepared to self-power your pit, and also bring a 2-ft.-tall step ladder or stool for proper perspective from the stand.

The stand platform is underway in Alex's legendary fabrication shop and he expects to have the steel parts ready for a work party next weekend.

Todd and Co.,

I love the look of the right side of the proposed track design as it would allow moving a pipe or two and we could have a few different designs from it, if and when we wanted a new track "feel". If something similar could be done with the left side then it would be boss. Just my 2 pennies. I must say that the current design looks great though

Keep in mind, it can be run clockwise or counter clockwise. We'll take another look to see if it's possible to do similar on the left side without it being identical to the right side.

Default Layout v.3

Jake and Korey continue to engage in this process. Thanks, guys!

I'm starting to like the blue infield. Imagine it with red and white kerbs (btw, kerb is Anglo-snob for curb. Like paddock for pit, or theatre for theatre. Middle England--being the homeland of F1--it just seems appropriate.)

Thumbs up

I like the latest Version 3 layout the best so far. It looks like it offers lots of flexibility. You can also make a really long winding course out of it. I also like that you could run an Indy style oval race around the perimeter of the track if you should choose to do so. I am pretty excited to see how it comes out.

Just an FYI, Today ( Thursday, Onroad track ) I'll be removing all the sand bags and carefully cleaning up the leaked sand and also removing all the existing pipe and string so we have a clean slate. Friday night I'll be back to tape down some temporary dots ( plastic plates ) and rope until it gets dark, then Saturday we will be able to run laps , make changes/tweaks to the layout after some morning prep.

Jake, got two tapes on the bike, one hundred footer and one 30 footer, so were good on that front.

Thanks for the help today Ritchie. Yes, those tape measures will certainly help it move along faster. Hope to be there by 6:30 since it gets dark by 8:30.

Boom

Lots of people to thank for this layout going down over the last three days. To name a few , Ritchie, Mike Boyle, Alex, and Todd. We got past this one step of many.... Largely due to the input of many people the layout came out nicely with a huge number of variants to maintain our interest over the coming years. Yeah baby!
