Updates?
Football is over ... I have Sunday back which means time to devote to help build this track.
Any new plans / timeline to get started?

The city's official construction season is April 1 to October 1, with weather obviously being a contingency. Look for firm plans as we get closer to the date. At this moment, I don't have a specific day for a work party planned. I have to meet with the maintenance supervisor in March to discuss how he plans to help us. It's in our interest to be patient, as he is devoting his resources and budget to the project.
I'll let you and everyone else know just as soon as I actually have something to tell

Work Days
The project at SeaTac is firing back up. More dirt was imported this past week, so there is an ample supply of clean dirt onsite for building our offroad track. The park maintenance chief has given us the go-ahead to begin building the track in May. So, out of the park budget, we will be renting a Bobcat, and one or two big drum rollers for the initial build. A water line has been brought to the site and will be fitted in the next couple of weeks, so if we need water, we will have it. Also, the parks staff will get in with a backhoe in the next week to ten days to remove the remaining stumps on the north edge of the track. We have a budget for additional materials, including for the drivers stand. And, we have a budget for hydroseed, so at the end we can lay that down to create a really nice park surrounding for the track.
I have the following dates for final clearing and then the build. We will almost certainly need more, but let's start with these.
Saturday, April 21
9am to Noon
Earth Day/Ivy Out Cleanup
Meet at the North SeaTac Community Center for directions from the maintenance chief.
(Thanks to Phil Gibson for taking the lead for the club on this day.)
Saturday & Sunday, May 5-6
9am to 4pm
Build Day
A Bobcat and Drum Rollers will be rented for both days.
Saturday May 12
9am to 4pm
Build Day
A Bobcat and Drum Rollers will be rented for the day.
Thank you for your continued interest in this project.
