Default Dirt Track maintenance?

We ran a few packs on the dirt track last weekend. Fun but definitely dusty. That giant hose was just begging to be used...padlock kept that from happening. We brought a rake and smoothed out a few sections.
Is maintenance ever performed? Obviously it takes more effort to maintain than the on-road track. Time and money was spent to create this awesome FREE resource; kinda sad to see it in it's current state. I'm willing to show up on a volunteer day but not much can be done without water and heavy machinery. Is it up to the city?

lmk sneako. Pm me. Ill help out.
I have a small suv, (4) 5g water jugs for fish tanks I use, and all the hand tools. tamper, rakes, shovels ect.
I was kinda surprised to see it in the state it was in and am willing to help improve it.
Be nice to get some actual lines and lanes drawn up too. After the drop off and big jumps I really didn't know where to follow the line as far as the track went. lol.

I'm their on weekends morning- early afternoon as I try and get some on road time in.
Also I'm their later at night usually between 8-930pm as i catch the last little bit of light left lol.

id start a new thread. Be kool to run outdoor off-road races. Even if for fun and no time system ect. Just need a buzzer for the go. lol.

There is a crew that keeps up with the offroad track maintenance. I keep up with the city about the general upkeep and take calls basically every week. For sure, after a hot, dry spell like we've had it starts to get beat up. That's the nature of dirt offroad tracks. Turf on the jumps helps a lot, but where there is dirt it definitely gets rutted out.

The water stays locked because many times I've taken calls that someone is filling their RV, washing their truck, leaving it on, etc. There a few of us with the key, but obviously we can't be down there at all hours.

That written, the track is in constant use.

Just throwing it out there, but I am planning on bringing my F1 cars out tomorrow. Anyone else up for some open wheel fun? David will run his and maybe Dad too, so there will be at least three. Sure hoping Ritchie can bring his!! 25.5 motors, right?

Thanks for the info on track maintenance. Any plans for replacing the corrugated pipe for the lanes? Like MonkeyCmonkeyDo mentioned, the lanes are a little wonky.
Using turf on jump sections helps a lot with wear and tear and the water being locked is a no-brainer. I really like that the track is loose dirt...TRCR is a great facility but it's basically an on-road track with jumps. The lack of traction at SeaTac is a fun challenge.

I don't mind. I ran both last year and my overall time was within a few seconds. Geared tall, I only gave up a little bit on the long straights and it is easier to control the 25.5 in the twisty bits. Not sure which F1 you are running, but i have some parts and pieces for Tamiya F104s and can help on set up on a TRF103. We really need Shook and some other hot shoes to bring them. I always learn a thing or two when they are there.

I concur Brian, Thanks for posting the videos, I can see how poorly I’m driving and How badly I’m in need of torque and speed.
