Alex and I took a field trip last night.
The onroad track looks good. Paint and berms look great and don't appear to be worse for the winter. In the next week or two I intend to get back out there to blow off some of the small amount of twigs and leaves so they don't decompose and start moss growing in the coming warmer weather. If anyone is able to blow it off sooner, please post here that they did it... and thanks in advance too :-)
NOTE : we will NOT be pressure washing the asphalt as this would be BAD for it. Again, WE will NOT pressure wash the surface of the track.

The track itself has ridden out the winter beautifully. It's easy to see with rain on it where the pad is uneven, and I will say overall there are no puddles of any significant size anywhere, so it has remained very flat.
The big piece of work will be shaping up the perimeter grounds. We really need to get the leaves up and out of the grass. Looking forward to next week, I would say bring a rake. And yes, I've thought of a blower, but I don't think that will be good enough. We will have some work to do. But, it will be worth it.

Does anyone have a good starting setup for a R11 ('16 and/or '17) for our SeaTac track? Looking for Stock and Scale Spec.
Thanks!

I'm going to try and make it out for the work party. Going to Supercross that night, so it's up to the boss.... lol.
Just curious, why is it bad to pressure wash the pad? Does it break up the surface over time?

Asphalt is a layer of rock and oil that is applied with high pressure ( big heavy wheels ) which makes it bond together while hot. If we start breaking it up with pressurized water we are unnecessarily aging it and causing cracks to form. Asphalt is very soft compared to , for example concrete.

As of right now the weather report for next Wednesday 4/12 and the following Wednesday 4/19 looks like 60 degrees and dry. Tentativly I will be @ Seatac ~ 3
m, blow the track off and set up a course. I will plan on staying till 10:00 and will finish under the lights. Open invitation to all who wish to join me, weather permitting.
