Curious why you are asking?
Is it looking like it needs it?

By the SRCR club and just thought a fresh white stripe would be nice. just a question and i know every year at 4 seasons they had to pressure wash the asphalt to get the moss off ahd that would take most of the paint off.

I think the only reason it may have seemed like those that responded were wondering, it is that although this is the clubs first foray into an asphalt track, much time and resource was put into using a paint that we hope is resilient enough to last many years before repaint is necessary. We hope this is true of the berms to an even greater degree as they took even more effort to apply than the paint. I think that same extra thought process will be put in place to find the best methods to clean the track as to not cause damage we will pay for later with the asphalt breaking down if we use too strong of a detergent to clean. Asphalt is an oil based material, wash away that with too much detergent, or even too much pressure washing, and it degrades quicker. We all hope it can stand the test of time and weather.

We should all get ready to help with the upcoming clean-up to prepare for the season. Last time I stopped by, the track was a snowmobile course, so hard to tell how much prep it will need beyond cleaning the berms and weeding and perimeter pit areas. The nicer we make the facility look, the more support we will get from the parks department to enhance it even more. Maybe power, lights, picnic tables, etc., a win for all of us.

I am getting really itchy to get back on the asphalt this coming outdoor season, as I am sure many of you are too. This cold and wet time right now cannot go away fast enough for me. :-)

Until then, see you all at the hanger or gym for the last couple races and the ECC. A great way to cap the indoor season.

Is nitro allowed at this track? Or does anyone know of a onroad nitro track in the seatac area or closer to it than TimeZone?

Sorry, bummer, but it was a stipulation by the city of Seatac

I don't know of any other nitro onroad tracks closer than TZ.

34x do not work in our climate. I'm not sure if they even work anywhere or if they were just a mistake.

For you, it's actually 25.5 ROAR approved or a Yukon Gold Certified potato. Your choice. The rest of us can run 21.5.
