no problem keep the questions coming!

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXK204&P=ML

is some lead you can find at your local LHS or go to harbor freight and buy some stick on tire weights (or local tire shop) the have double sided stick tape on the pack and mounts right in, I actually used about 4 oz under the ESC and it sits in there nice, and then threw and oz by the servo to meet 5.5lbs

The weight was based off of a 6 cell 3600 nimh pack in a out of box slash. I did not use a super precise usps scale though just a simple digital scale from harbor freight :p

We wanted to create an equality in the class without going as far as saying you have to run this specific battery! So to make that happen we had to account for people running nimh packs as well as lipo packs. Most of our guys last summer running lipos had to add 5-6oz of weight (honestly the car handled better). And after a few practice laps some clay stuck to the chassis will help that weight  and the weight is race ready so, bodies, and transponders are included in that weight. So if you would be running a house transponder you can add that weight on.

Can you link us to that kit you were mentioning? i dont remember the 2wd kits coming with the different tires even on the special editions but havent seen new kits.

I have a second scale here that I will throw the truck on during my lunch. The battery that came with my truck is this:

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ck-84V-3000mAh

As for the 2wd Greg Adler truck, they were selling them in teh 4Wheel Parts Stores along side with the 4wd versions. Thats the only place I have seen them but I know their is now a part number from Traxxas.

And I lied, my truck is not completely stock, I bought a Futaba 2.4 transmitter and receiver. Other than that, its completely stock.

Thanks for the info.

Changing Rx is fine, adding weight is a simple fix but we never had any trouble 6 cell nimh guys making weight with just a stock truck except a few who were running 3000 stick packs, which is why you may be running into issues with a 3200. We based the weight off of 3600 6 cell with a plug attached, as most nimh batteries being run last year were 3800, 4200, and 4600 packs so anything with less mah than 3600 on the nimh side may need a touch of weight. And lipos will need a good chunk

And I beleive the bridgestone tires are the 4X4 kit tires and do not come in the 2WD kit versions so they will not be allowed most likely

8.10.12.4 No tire tread cutting, bald tires or custom cut tires allowed.

8.10.12.6 Tire Mounted: Minimum Diameter of the tire (mounted) is established to limit
extremely low profile designs. The target dimension (new tire) is established at 4.30

pre- race minimum allowable diameter of a mounted tire is 4.20 inches. Tracks and
Promoters are encouraged to select a “Stated” tire that works best for their particular
location.

looks like any short course tire allowed. stock or proline, goose etc. or are you going to have a stated tire for stock to use?

I think any with the smaller lugs,or softer compound. We will know more after a couple club races this spring as we mainly ran slash tires last year.

and so no novice class for the young up and comers?

asmazure 01-13-2010 09:49 AM

plenty of room for motor homes and trailers,As far as a novice class that had never crossed my mind but is a great idea. When we post for sign-ups on Where to Race I will add a novice class and will run it depending on entries
