Well guys there is no easy way to break this news to you so I will just say it and follow up with the explanation.

The 2009 Summer Rage will not be an NCT 2 day race this year!

OK so take a breath and here is why.

We found out Tuesday of last week as we showed up to begin the preparations for the Rage that the county had just slapped the landowner with a $3700 fine for our infractions from last years racing program! Our attempts to negotiate with the landowner have not worked out, including donating 100% of the profits to help out with the fine.
I want to thank Greg and Clint for their attempts to find an alternate location on such a short notice but every lead has come up empty.

Right now I do not know the reprecussions to the series points but I am sure it will be addressed very soon.

In the mean time, for those of you who have already planned to race that weekend we will be holding a Single day event in the spirit of the Rage at Clints 2 Brothers track in Beaver creek on Saturday the 8th. It will be 3 rounds (depending on time) with triple A's and 30 min mains.
And before you ask, no, 2 Brothers does not have nearly enough space to handle a 2 day event with RV's like the Rage but it is plenty big for a large single day event.

I know there will be a lot of discussion and myself, Greg, and Clint will try our best to facilitate your comments.

Again, I am truly sorry for the dissapointment.

Actually Rise seems to be the best option since its in the same location and will impact the racers the least since most have motels booked etc.

So what tires work at Clint's track on 1/10 electric truck? 1/8 scale buggy?

Tim,You are more then welcome to use our track! and run your own race just will be HOT HOT HOT in august.you can keep the current layout and have your guys do maint,etc....

How about Walla Walla!they have the facility,just needed help with running the race(track build,maint,etc)they have the room and the means to do it,if it was at our track(tri-cities)it might discourage some racers from going being at the same track 2 times in one year......

A major change in location like that should be voted in my the host track reps. I'm more than happy to support the Walla Walla location or Tri Cities tracks. Have not been to Eugene so I personally don't know about their place.

I agree that Rise R/C Raceway would be the best alternate but that would mean giving Tim, Clint, and Greg the reins, which I personally don't see happening. Shawn of Rise seems to be the kind of guy that has his track and its his only. Not trying to bash you Shawn or Rise RC but just portraying what I see. It would be awesome if it were to happen but most likely not IMO. This is really to bad Tim, sorry man

As far as Rise , why not ?

I`m all for any facility that will sponsor the NCT...

The only problem I see from Puyallup are those pesky eggo`s....

Hope we learn how to sweeten them up with lots of syrup...
