This weekend
Rick,
Do you need any help on projects this weekend?
I will be candid, I would'nt mind doing some work and getting some stick time...never drove a nitro car on a track and have no idea what how it will handle..
Drop me a line if you need a little help.. 801-641-0473

We were out yesterday with the WGT cars to get them on the asphalt for the first time.
track was blown off but no traction compund.
First off my OGT car 17.5 lipo spec tire 200mm. even with real small tires straight off the carpet the car was supprisingly good. had to be easy on the gas, but it worked pretty good. added 2 or 3 teeth and even on the full track is was quick enough. 10 min run time and low motor temp
235mm car 5.5 lipo, spec tire. first time on the track...... just about un driveable. could not get on the gass at all, spin out no matter how easy you were.... came in and checked it over, just loosened the diff up a bit and WHAM a whole new car.... could get on the throtle pretty hard and pull full trigger down the straight.... YEE HA pretty damm fast. felt a lot like a 8th scale.. drifty but controlled.... again this was on Lilac's straight out of the box at 61mm. no split, also no setup on tube fluid, pod spring etc... just thrown down on the track with no traction spray either...
Very Promissing....
looks like we will do a:
OGT: 17.5, lipo, spec tire, stock chassi, open body....
Mod GT: open motor, lipo, open tire, 235mm chassi, open body

Andy it was a bit hot at the end with I think a 35/104 and huge tires.... we'll probably start 2 teeth smaller next time out. I am at a 33/110 on my car but have not been out there with it yet. should have some Pink Rears here by the weekend.
Rick has worked his magic and we are about to un-viel the next big thing..................
