Just a quick question for the organizers. I remember last year the main lengths from the C-Main and down were only 5 minutes...is this something that the NCT has standardized? I understand the need for an efficient schedule, but 5 minutes seems kinda short

Matt that is a NCT rule. 5 min C and lower mains, B 15 minutes and 30 minute A's.

The way Wenatchee did it, was the best EVER! I hope others will replicate what they did as it worked out well for all racers as far as I know.

Count this post as a vote for 1/10th Mornings, 1/8 Afternoons.

Jeremy, We have always run quals on Sunday, works out great. We went with being split for main day, and it even worked out better than I expected.
Electric guys had a quiet, calm day, with little track maintenence needed. We had awards directly after electrics, and low and behold we were able to give out EVERY award. then the electric guys could have the choice of getting out early, staying to watch some racing, and/or Race their Nitro stuff.
It will also help Boost entries, More people would run BOTH if they could say get out there electric stuff and run it, Put it away for the day then get their nitro stuff out and run it. I know it is VERY hectic to run both mixed. It worked out GREAT for ALL involved. Please think about this strongly.

What Mike said!

are you saying you normally split the quals 10th morning 8th afternoon, this year you did it for the mains and it worked out great?

we talked about that as well. the only thing we don't want to happen is the electrics feel like the are being "pushed" through their racing. it works out if you have enough entries in electric, but if you don't, there is no time to charge, repair, ect before your next heat/main. this feeling multiplies if you run multiple electric classes. It really hinges on how many sign up for the electric classes. there are things we can do to stretch the time between rounds for electrics, but only so much.

The way they did it in Wenatchee worked out great for me, and I was running 2 1/10th classes. ...That said, I didn't break, which is almost impossible at the Hank. I still want to do it that way though, because having 2 smaller trophy presentations and driver's meetings seems to work out really well.

So, let's see those 1/10th scale entries! Don't be bored in the morning, come out and race something!

In Wenatchee, they also ran the gas truck B main (15min) at the end of the first round of electric triple A mains and the gas truck A main (30min) atfer the secound round of electric triple A's. This helped with charge/repair time for the electric guys.
I ran mod truck and 1/8 scale buggy, I though the format at Wenatchee worked very well.

Only thing I would of done different at Wenatchee, is ran the Gas Truck Amain at the end of all electrics and not 3/4 the way through, oh and make sure your pipe is bolted in - LOL

Run the lower GT C main (if there is one) in between A1 and A2 and the B in between A2 and A3, this will make it not so hectic and also give those that bump from the C to the B, or the B to the A enough time to prep their GT...

Then at the end of A3, run the GT A amain, with the B main cornering, so Gas would corner for Gas, then Trophies, 1/8 Drivers Meeting and then 1/8 racing.

Just my thoughts.

But really, Wenatchee's format and time schedule will be hard to beat this Year, yep we finished while there was still daylight!!! I think thats a 1st for Wenatchee
