Hey Kody... if the F1 turnout is large, say 10+ cars (which I think is very likely), will we be broken up into two qualifier groups and A/B mains? I ask since it seems that F1s are usually all lumped together. I mean, it looks great when we're lined up, but after that... chaos

10 cars is always our Max for cars on track at the CC. If there is 10+ then yes there will be a B main and two heats worth. It's always best to have 7-8 cars per qual so racers can get there clean runs in. By main time the field should be spread properly for a clean few laps tell lap traffic starts to appear. But let me remind everyone it takes 2 to pass!!! Work together and be patient. Every one deserves a chance at a clean race.

Default Can-Am Notes

Kody got the race specs right. I'll add that the info is on the website home page: http://seattlercracers.com/

That said, it's our standard club race format with the exception of the early start and the shot glass trophies.

The Race Directors will always strive to compose the heats in a way that strikes a balance between keeping the night moving along and giving everyone their best shot at a clean run. Which is not to say that the car counts aren't generally consistent. They are. But, we reserve the right to exercise our best judgment at any time. If an adjustment is called for, we'll make it.

In other words, Alex and I do our best always. We like to call clean races, and we also like plenty of help at teardown. We're volunteers, just like everyone else.

Another aspect to look at going into a larger race is track courtesy. Remember to consider other racers on the track with you. If your car isn't handling properly or is broke and you feel you should keep running it, just think of how it can effect other racers please. We know it's never fun to give up a run or track time but some times it's just best to pull it, fix the issues and go back out with a clear head.

Hey, on the Scale Spec tires, I'm pretty sure the performance vintage tires only come in D compound?

You would appear to be correct:

http://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/102994

HPI's website doesn't list any Vintage tires in anything other than D-Compound. Well, unless you want to try drift tires, but good luck with that.
