I know that feeling . I setup Virtual RC last night and was doing some practice there .

I was hoping my new DX3S was going to arrive before tonight, but it didn't . So I'm stuck with my beginner-level 2.4ghz. Oh well .

Can someone be kind enough to let me borrow a few drops of Paragon tonight? I haven't had a chance to get some yet.

Thanks in advance...

Good point Matt, I hadn't thought about that either.

In Silver Can, how "required" is Paragon? Is there even enough power to notice a difference with Paragon? How much is it to pick up Paragon (and where)?

Yup, for onroad racing at least. It currently doesn't support offroad or electric. So I just use the "Sedan Easy" profile which is slower (somewhere between a 17.5 and Silver Can, I _think_). It not only allows you to practice offline on various tracks, but you can compete online against others as well. I ordered the stick (though I believe you can use the usb adapter to use your own transmitter with it).

The Paragon will be flowing, just ask any of us.

And yes...I asked this same question when starting in silver can. Traction compound makes an amazing difference for the better.

Black can Paragon is usually available at Fantasy World, and I'm guessing RC Hobbies (Woodinville) stocks it too.

I stopped by Redmond Hobby Town yesterday and they are going to look into ordering Paragon for the future. They had two sets of Jaco blues left yesterday after I picked up a set.

Thanks! Though it looks like I won't be able to make it out tonight after all... if anything, I may swing by late to watch for a bit. Next time! By then I should have my own can of special sauce.

Sorry Grant, I may have inadverdatnly "Mutated" one of the letters in one of the words in your post, that"d be "My Bad!"

Note- if you change the "T" in Clinton to a "G", it becomes "Clingon"

Default Scale Spec Question

I noticed no front one-way in the Scale Spec rules. My TA05 currently has a front one-way and I'm not sure I have a normal diff. Can you run either normal diff or a locked one (whatever it is called)? I believe I have just the "shaft" one that isn't diff in any way.

Also, perhaps somebody in here would know (I also asked in the TA-05 thread on the On-Road Forum). Would a body that states for "TA04" work on the TA05? I was hoping to maybe rock this body in Scale Spec (if I go the Scale Spec route).

P.S. I know my terminology is messed up, but hopefully you guys understand what I'm trying to say.

Default 17.5 brushless

[/QUOTE] Note- if you change the "T" in Clinton to a "G", it becomes "Clingon"

Now thats funny. Off the starboard bow even.

Todd, just wanted to say thanks for the great effort last night. Even tho we couln't race it was very nice to practice. Thanks again.

Now let me throw this out to the field of experts. I have a tekin redline sensored 17.5 that is acting up. Its mated to a lrp comp shere. After it heats up a little (120 or so) it starts to pause and makes clicking noise. Also there are no brakes to speak of as well. The only time brakes take effect is down the straight at full go, than minimal at that. Tried all break settings on tx and esc. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Default Good to See Everyone

Well,

I suppose it must happen that best laid plans go awry. Timing and scoring issues sidelined racing last night, but the turnout was nevertheless great. Hans was down from Vancouver, and he promises to be back. Thanks to everyone for the enthusiasm despite the problems at the race desk. There seems to have been a lot of testing and tuning which, given the time away, wasn't time wasted. Still...

The best minds in the industry are focused on our timing and scoring; we will be up and running for sure. I am married to a lawyer, so if it comes to it, I will start suing people.
