Scale Spec wing question...
The rules say:
"... GT bodies may run included wings, or option wing sets that emphasize scale appearance. Wing size for all: maximum of 10mm height, and side dam, 40mm chord measured from top-rear of wing to front leading edge."
I have a feeling my Subaru wing isn't legal, due to height. But anyway...
Would this one fit the "option wing sets that emphasize scale appearance" clause? IMO it would.

Your wing must be able to pass through a 10mm x 40mm hole. We left the same cord length as touring car (40mm) but the side dam height is half of that of a standard touring car. If you cut on the lines, it probably is not legal.
The wing set you linked, HPI85288 would be a legal wing. I understand there is some perspective to this rule, and someone would argue that wing would look fantastic on a 69 Camaro but it's obvious and common sense to me that wing is for a modern car, GT car, etc, and not keeping with the scale appearance of a VTA car. So throw it on that Subaru!
For anyone who's read this far, I saw a pretty amazing Ferrari body by Tamiya that would make a fantastic Scale Spec car... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCPWY&P=7

Re: scale spec.
Will this tamiya body be allowed?
Will this tamiya body be allowed?

I'd say so. That's about as scale as it gets!

tc6.1 electronics and chassis are done and running all i need to do now is find the right 64 pitch gearing

The reason they banned it was because if its aero profile, and for GT2/GT1 it would've been the body of choice, which would've meant you'd see 10 Ebbro 350R's in the A main, instead of a variety of bodies like they want it to be. Honestly, I'd love to see it in our scale spec class, good job on the body!!!

tc6.1 is done!! all electronics are in and running correctly all i need to do is buy some new gears!!

What type of Subaru bodies are allowed for the Scale Spec Class (GT)? I saw a mitsubishi body last race, but I don't remember any Subarus.
Also, what tires would I have to pair it with?
