Default Track Build

The track build will be this Saturday, 3pm to 8pm.

And if we're done early--great. But, we've always been served well by taking our time with it and getting it right. That should be enough time to stare at it, scratch our heads, talk amongst ourselves, tweak this and that, and dial it in.

Good job man!
Thanks Garrett I appreciate that. It happened more than once so it wasn't a fluke. It was a fun time for sure. Nice to run at the front of the pack sometimes. Congrats on your win.

Thanks for the battle Ron that was 6 minutes of pure adrenalin. My car started to fade it seemed and Bill came out of no where into the fracas. Your car was very fast at the end Bill, nice work.

Pan cars are just too much fun.

Thank you. That was a fun race for sure. I dunno why my car kept its speed in the last four minutes; it always faded badly before. I tried a one tooth smaller pinion and must have accidentally chosen the best battery out of my pile of used batts. Hopefully I'll be so lucky next time too! Can't wait until the next race!!!

How is track width measured at a major ROAR race, particularly in the rear? At the axle? At the rear of the tire? Or if the tire is inside the body, is it fine? I'm curious because I'm widening my car.

Mike, imagine a 190mm wide box the car needs to sit in and roll fwd/back. If it fits, it ships.

ROAR has a station with two parallel walls 190mm apart. The car needs to slide cleanly between the walls.

Why are you going so wide? Specially with the new layout coming up. Wider means less traction and slower response.

Less traction roll more stability. You can get response back by running shorter links and more link angle.

Yep I would have agreed if it was still the old layout with super high traction. The new layout will take several races to get back to that level of traction.
