OR, you can pick up a used Xray, T2 or 007 and not have to buy any hop-ups thereby saving you a small fortune that you can spend on quality electronics.

Fantasy World has a good selection of spare parts, provides a great place to race during the summer, you get to support the local scene.

Default Covington TA-05

For those of you that saw the TA-05 at the Covington RC Hobbies, do you remember if it was just a race roller, or if it included motor/esc (and possibly which)? It's still there and it's a _great_ price (really, a _steal_ like you guys mentioned). I would hate to make the drive all the way down there though if it's still not the best option for a beginner.

Awesome! I'm currently hoping to be at the pre-season meeting on the 26th. But if there's a work night before then to help get the track or other stuff into shape, I'm willing to pitch in and help out.

Default Practice Nights

I saw that club races are usually Wednesday nights. Are there other nights that are "popular" or "typical" practice nights? Also, is the hangar opened before the season starts for practice and such? Was thinking it would be fun to out and start learning before the season starts.

Glad to hear that Darin is going to hook you up with his TA05. It should work well for you. If you want some practice before the Hangar gets going, I'd recommend checking out one of the great asphalt tracks in the area:

Everett: http://www.egtc-series.com/'

Fantasy World in Tacoma

Four Seasons RC Raceway in Olympia - 360-491-2430

EGTC and Four Seasons are racing this Saturday and Fantasy World this Sunday. Four Seasons is also racing next Wednesday night and is open for practice Tuesday through Sunday.

See you at the track!

Default 09/10 Weekend Dates

There has been hope for more weekend dates, and I have been able to add three to our calendar. Here is the complete weekend schedule for the upcoming season.

Sun. 9/20
Sat. 10/31
Sat. 11/28
Sat. 12/19
Sat.-Sun. 1/16-1/17
Sat. 2/13
Sat. 3/6

Not counting the two-day, which will probably be our round of the NWIC, that's six weekend races. I think a nice little points series is in order

And that makes a 25 date season overall--that oughta do.

Hey Todd,

That's a great looking schedule but I got a question for you, I have only done the wednesday night thing as you know, what is the schedule for the Sat./Sunday schedule. Like what time do we show up, how many rounds of qualies, etc.? Will there be more hours to practice on a weekend date then on a weekday night?
