Exclamation

I am building a WGT so for those keeping count there will be +1 for the next club race if they show. I will keep it with me race ready from here on out.

Those new to 1/12 link cars, if you want help with setting up and tweaking the car come see me, or if you simply want someone to tweak the car, come see me. If you want someone to drive it and see if it needs improvement I am willing to help. Not claiming to be the authority on 1/12, but mine work.

I also posted Brian's pan car clinic, and have added my own instructions to my website, rcpitwhores.com.

Tires, for Jaco run them 40/42 or 41/43mm front/rear for fastest laps, black/yellow compound, radius the sidewalls, sauce the entire tire at least 16 minutes prior to your heat and put them on the track dry. You can sauce longer without ill effect. You can start your tires at 42/44 but they will be a little grabby now that grip is up. ...for stock this is a dialed setup and will go 8 minutes no problem.

Make sure you're ride height is square front/rear. 3.75mm vs 4mm is a big difference. Make sure you're 3.5-4mm. I start at 4 and let the car wear down until it's not acceptable. Setup your car and tires to start at 4mm and you should never really have to adjust your ride height but rarely.

Do this then setup your chassis so its balanced left/right and adjust your steering so the car turns equally left/right (do circles in the carpet) and you should have a race car.

I picked up a used RC10R5 for WGT and I have some questions:

Whats a good starting point for setup?
Whats the target rollout for 13.5?
Whats a good size to run the tires? Saucing? Ride Heights, etc?

I noticed this car has rear ride height adjuster inserts that seem offset to make the wheelbase longer, is this a standard part or do you run the standard 1/12 scale inserts?

Thanks in advance. It looks like the touring car will be parked till pavement season lol

Grant ran the Blackstock set up and liked it. I think I am at 30 side, 30/blue center, gold sides, .20 fronts. Same inserts as 1/12, 4mm min ride height, tires 52 f/r (you don't have 2mm split), rollout 85-90.. something like that..

Default Wanted : Tekin RS

Hello Hangar 30 Racers,

I am planning to pursue RC as a hobby and currently i am looking for a used Tekin RS ESC which would work with TC6.1.

i have tried racing a couple of times using a loaner at our Hangar, Seattle a few weeks ago, I am hoping someone has a spare for sale.

Thanks,
Pinkesh

Default 12th stock ??

Wondering what rollout people are running for 12th stock with a Revtech? Are people using specific rotors or just the stock one?
