I was running old, ragged-out x patterns at the last race, and was right there on pace.

I tried like crazy to make the x-patterns work last season, which is why I have 5 sets in various stages of use in my pit box. I was never smart enough to make them work. When I switched to HPI Vintage, I managed to gain almost a full lap within a couple of races and haven't looked back. That's why you see my hokey looking 911 GT3 RS running around with vintage wheels and tires. I prefer the look of the low-profile x patterns, but my car just drives like a steaming like of bat guano whenever I bolt them on. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to painting a VTA body to match, but for now it'll have to do.

Based on that rousing endorsement, if anyone wants a set (or four) of mounted x-patterns on black 10 spoke wheels, shoot me a PM and I'll make you a helluva deal.

Hey Ryan,

RCH in the Wood's does stock TP. Not sure they have the latest 6000's though. They seem to always keep the Reedy 65C 6500 in-stock. There proven and fast too! Sean has Tuesdays off so you should see a reply today I would think.

Looking forward to having you guys come down!

Dont think so...

You want the QTS32 and I think all they had was the EXP stuff... I could be wrong or I could be right.

I've run spec r diffs in my mod sedan and they work just fine with no leakage issues. I've learned:
- The newer generation black gears are superior to the older generation white gears
- It takes some sanding and shimming to get proper gear mesh
- Since Associated now sells gear diffs for my TC6, I see no reason to buy SPEC R because the Associated diffs seem to be better

Default X-pattern tires

I've run these tires before, and yes they do develop a ridge or death, and yes they do make the car more "on-edge", but like Mike said, that's not totally a bad thing. The biggest reason for the change is weight. I'm currently over 100g over the min. weight. While the car is fast as it sits, and its easy to drive, 100g is a lot no matter how you slice it. Just dropping half of that is a game-changer in my opinion, which is what I'll be trying Saturday with X-patterns and a sweet Rockstar-sponsored Acura RSX.

And Mark, I'll take you up on that F1 deal! Is that radio included so I don't have to switch a bunch of crap over?

BTW, Sean, I still need those X-patterns, lol.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
We carry Reedy 6500 65c 2s packs. We have 2 in stock.
