I think it must be the summer time that keeps any decent turnouts from anywhere....
Turnouts are struggling, maybe should just run one class...
FW- sucks
TRCR-sucks

I'm pretty sure Jeff ran a LOT last season, in 12th scale and Stock TC... at the Hangar, NORA, everywhere.

What's really funny is the "fast guys" get hated on for being just that... Sit with your friends at the track on a weekly basis and your a clique of D-bags, ask for a class other than stock and your crucified. Jeez.

Not that I want to award a giant douche bad or anything but my vote is this.

17.5 stock 12th
Mod 12th
13.5 blinky

That would offer the best mix I think. Plus make it pan car newb friendly. However the people that are saying mod or no show had better plan on racing the whole season and not quiting after snobirds.

It was after Carpet Nats in mid March actually. Traditionally this event marks the official end of the carpet season, even if the Hangar runs into spring. Did the same the year prior after the Carpet Nats at Timezone. The weather gets nice and all classes drop off.

We don't want anyone feeling like they're crucified for hanging out with their friends, and neither do we need someone's racing interest, whether it be modified or stock, pan car or touring car, labelled anything other than a great time for those who participate in it. It's all racing, and it's all good. And it's something we do together

The Comp Committee is working hard to deliver classes and a rules package that will appeal to the buck newb as well as to the seasoned pro. And that are accessible and affordable on a reasonable budget. And that are sustainable for a whole season. And that are fun. It's a tall order, and the guys are hashing it out hard.

We've enjoyed great results with our past class offerings, but we're not inclined to rest on our laurels, and nothing is spared scrutiny and reconsideration. It does look like we'll be taking the risk and changing up one of our historically solid classes. I hope it pans out!

(Get it? "Pans out?" As in...ah, anyway...nevermind)

Ooooh, the sting. How true, though. I probably wouldn't have used the word hacking, but at the end of the day, a hack by any other name...

My problem is that for some reason, I'm much faster on some corners than some people who are overall faster than me. So whether trying to put in a pass, or after letting a faster car by, I go into one of those corners and am caught off guard by my 4 ft gap suddenly being completely gone, and then I'm hacking them. :/ It's certainly not something I'm proud of, but is something I am having a lot of trouble rectifying.

I think going from 1 to 3 1/12 classes would be a sure bet to kill the class. If we had D mains every night, it might work, but usually we have A + B, and sometimes a few extra for a small C. Divide that by 3, and the average class might get 6-7 entries.

What I do think might work is:
17.5 blinky Stock 1/12
WGT as the intermediate pan class
Mod 1/12

That keeps 2 pan classes for the people who are pan enthusiasts and have no interest in running a TC class, and it provides a pan car intermediate step between 17.5 1/12 and Mod 1/12.

But the real question is how many core 1/12 racers there are who would just stop racing because 17.5 1/12 is too slow, mod 1/12 is too fast/expensive, and they're not interested in WGT.

What about since we ran a bastard WGT class last year we do a 13.5 BOOSTED, and then say when we go to TZ we just have to turn off the BOOST and re gear?
