Sean,

Can you go ahead and order those two Associated parts for me. The 12R5.2 lipo deck standoffs (4699 I Believe), and the FT AE blue 1/12 servo mounts.

Thanks,

Steve

To put it another way, I think the car is turning-in just fine when entering the corner at the same speed as other cars, but being a rookie with lousy car control means I routinely overcook the corners and right now I can't stay out of the pipes. I'm trying to channel my inner Lewis Hamilton and brake as late as possible, which of course also means I tend to collect Brazilians driving Ferraris on a regular basis, then gripe about it to the press.

Great advice all around, guys. I think the solution is to take all your advice at once, skim as much money as I can without the bookkeeper/social planner finding out, and buy an ESC/brushless motor combo AND a new radio.

Do they rent space year-round in the Hanger? I may be looking for a place to live after this is over.
Even at 40+ Schuhacker is better than SHamilton.

Hey Kyle, (sorry, just looked over at your name and saw the Brad part and forgot it was Kyle I was responding to)

I have a good, last generation of brushed speed control you can give a try, probably will get the most out of brakes and power you can get, even out of a silver can motor. I'll try remember to bring it Wednesday night.

Remember trying to get people to run 1/12 with us? Those were the days... I'm glad we finally have that fire lit!

...and that's how the Old School class was born. We could create a totally new class of racing, kind of like the Chump Car World Series. We already have silver can racing so I give you "Crap Can" racing. The entire car and associated running gear, minus the TX/RX and lipo, must be worth less than $100. No brushless allowed, run-what-you-brung beater racing. And THAT's when we set-up the figure 8 layout that some of you guys keep asking about.

Just sayin'. Could be a great way to clean out the garage of some of that old junk we all have lying around.

Ah, you said my favorite phrase in racing .. "figure 8" ... might be time for another world famous Fat Tom Figure 8, we could do it on the bare floor.
