We are now carrying that Thunderpower 40c race lipo that everyone is talking about....I think it pretty much dominated the 13.5 class at the Reedy race...

Also, the new Speedworld/Sorex premounts should be in next week!

Oh ya, Panda and Buckle dont get any new tires! Im sure they have plenty of Jacos with a couple runs on them!

Hangar 30, back in action Wed night!

w00t!!!

Gonna be a great night to race at Magnuson...close to 60 degrees for the low. That's darn near heatwave material!

I've been MIA from the race scene for a few weeks. Last weekend went mountain biking in Whistler, been building the HPI cup racer slowly too...

Default MINI

Hey everyone... bring out your Mini Coopers and Cup Racers!

Let's get going with some Silver Can racing! I keep hearing about the days of all the many Mini racers at SIR. It would be great fun to get this going at Hanger 30.

Nice.

I'll be there with my "solid green" 240z configured as close to M-spec as possible (within reason):

5.8+ FDR
S-Grip Tires
1300g mass
Silvercan't motor

Never mind the fact that its AWD.

PS - For the Cup Racer mechanics who havent heard yet, enlarge the shock piston holes and run reasonable shock oil viscosity, flush and oil all of the kit bearings, and be careful tightening the diff case screws: the drivetrain is bound up like a...really bound up thing.

I didn't find the diff case screws to be a problem. The allen that runs thru the drive cup (front and rear) and threads into the internal planetary gear can bind it up horribly. Tighten it up, then back off a little at a time until you get it spinning freely. True, the drivetrain is not xray loosey-goosey but I expect it to free up a bit with some drive time.

Also...does anyone have a small air compressor suitable for airbrushing I may borrow for a week or two? Just got the Iwata brush/hose and I'm itching to paint up the Datsun cup racer shell!

Default Lap Top with the latest Tekin software

Hey guys, as a Plan B, I was wondering if anyone will have a laptop available for tuning a Tekin RS Pro trackside. I am trying to take care of the adjustments at home, but you know how well the best laid plans usually go.....

I am hoping that I have come up with a perfect recipe for 1C Lipo 12th scale racing. We'll find out this Wed. It would seem that this class is going to be even more cost effective to run then in the past. Although, the laptop is not part of that equation.
