Hrm... Please take a look at the round 1 scale spec results. Greg was on a 23/6:xx for most of the race, then 4 laps from the end, there's a blank row in the lap chart, and suddenly he's on a 24/6:09. To hit 24 laps, lap times would have to be well into the 15's for the whole race consistently, and the chart doesn't reflect that. I don't think I've seen that in a lap chart before.

That said, his round 2 23/6:09.712 is pretty darn close to the previous record.

Well, I had a super fun day. I made two adults cry and had another towed. I feel almost as much as a prick as I did in tc last night. I apologize to at least the two green tc's. I am used to making passes with a pan car that is rather effortless. TC's obviously require a bit more patients which is something I will work on. Clearly the Orio cookie pass did not work out in my favor, but it would have dialed had it did! Jeff had the right frame of mind and prevailed, nice job! I am having fun with the car, just wished I knew what to do with it. Deffinetely need to thank Sean and Kody for the help. I also appreciate Jake, Mike and Jeff's encouragement. Still, these things don't handle right and I have to use brake.

The 12th main was yet another hail mary set up on the motor. I went from 90mm r/o on a D3 at the 3rd hash mark to 95mm @ the 4th mark to 85mm in the main full time pegged. Something was up with Trav's car at the start as I nearaly ran him over. I checked up a bunch and Sean said enough of this and passed us both! Nice. I wadded up and lost half a lap. Sean and Trav were tied together and I was now on the hunt. The rest of the main went smooth and relatively quick. Blue Angle formation, well, yea, I could say that probably happened. Funny that something as simple as that was observed as extraordinary, but I would say we've been doing that for years off and on. The guys tapped each other and I split the uprights and shot out the middle.....just like the tc pass ......but this worked.

Mike,

Hmm. Please let me visit this matter w/ the Comp Committee.

It is possible RCScoringPro counted the blank row, giving 24, instead of 23 laps. Even if that happened Greg, with a 23 6:14.714, still would have earned TQ because the fastest of the rest of us ran only 22 laps in qualifying.

If there was a glitch, the matter would dictate whether the previous Scale Spec track record stands or falls.

Itís a good question. The Comp Committee will kick it around and reply with the conclusion.

Hey Mike,

I checked the results, and it would seem there was something strange going on with timing and scoring. Your old result still stands, and the record has been adjusted to reflect it. Sorry for the confusion.

(Ah crap. Bill and I were typing at the same time... I'm responsible for posting results, it was my mistake.)

That a track record would be so important to someone that he would take the time to go over someone else's print out lap by lap.

I think most competitive racers look at lap times and have an idea what kind of lap times are needed for a particular pace. I'm assuming most would scrutinize even closer if there was a big discrepancy, in this case there was.

Now if it was closer like 1/3 to 1/2 of a lap I could see your point but this was a big difference.
