If you were responding to my traction roll grip levels comment... We weren't flipping like crazy. But there was definitely enough grip there that overly aggressive steering inputs or car setup issues could cause rolling.

Yeah, Ben's car looks awesome, and the way he's driving, I think he'll be up in the Scale Spec field before we know it.

Alvin showed the way in Stock Touring, but none other than Mike Ruete was pressing hard on the TQ pace. He couldn't quite snatch it from Alvin, but Mike has come a long way over the past two seasons. Dueling for TQ in Stock Touring is no mean feat, especially against a veteran like Alvin.
Not to mention fastest lap in the main. While my driving has improved a bit over the summer, the biggest difference from last year is the car. With the gear diffs, lightweight body, and more setup experience (mostly avoiding stupid setup issues than anything), the car is definitely working way, way better than it ever has. Huge thanks to Korey and Jeff Jr for all the help they've given me. Interestingly, the lightweight body seems to be holding up as well or better than the full weight one.

Scale Spec was redonk. Close, clean racing. And my unofficial award for best looking car of the night goes to Bill Swadener's GT40.
I told Bill on the stand that he took the aesthetic TQ. My eventual crash-out with a blown servo was partly because I was trying to slow down enough to snatch some glimpses of the second place battle! Just the kind of hot scale spec action I was hoping for this year!

Does anyone remember what the track record was before the one Travis set lat night in 12th? I had no idea we were on that fast a pace the first night.

It would be nice to add a track record timeline page to the seattle rc racers site, just to kind of see where we started and how far we have come. I don't know if that info has been archived anywhere however... just a thought since we run the same layout for such long periods of time.

Sitting at the airport with a tsunami warning in effect. Pete, think you had a :03, I did a :02 on the last day, so if Trav did a :01...... guess you could call that a "smashing". Good to see everyone is going fast. Looking forward to Sunday.

Track records are always set in a qualifying round. Each driver trips his own clock when he crosses the loop.

The previous best on the current layout was Brian at a 37/8:02. Set during the last race of last season.

Last night Trav was 38/8:01. A full lap up.

The track was fast last night. I was nearly a lap up on my previous best.

Damn a full lap, that's kinda what I thought we were on but I forgot to check the record yesterday before heading to the track. Well nice, I'm pretty happy about being on 38 laps on the first night with an buggy and unproven car

Either choice works for me. But you have to show up. Haven't seen since I borrowed it.
You could also trade me a set of the chassis balacer set up deals too..

Consider it done. Not even out of the package yet.

In case anybody's wondering, the Hangar 30 Cup series points tally will be posted soon. Just sorting out a visual format thing and double-checking the formulas' logic.
