I purchased several 200mm harnesses which work well on my lay out & t-bars. The 150's should do very well in many of the link cars.

I'm always packin' product!

well there was that "issue" but thought punch dropped off a little too.

The punch is one of the issues I am trying to resolve. It maybe the way the radio priority feature that is internally constructed in the speedo that is causing a soft trigger in the post run. I can say that leaving all wires installed in the servo harness from the esc and leaving the esc switch in the "off" position (just like Todd explained) and only turning on the rx pack switch .... did help with the post run punch issue. Had I fully charged that main pack, I would have been able to claim one way or the other whether that issue was resolved. I will be looking closely at it this Wed. What I didn't like, was the fact I had to switch the esc to nimh mode instead of lipo mode to get it to keep from cutting out the moment I squeezed trigger. My fear is that even in nihm mode, radio priority kicks in about 3.9v which would be normal for a 4 cell, but it's likely a running average voltage for 1C lipo. In nimh mode, you do not have the safety of lipo cut off which prevents the pack going below 3.2v.... which is what it did in the main at FW. I immediately put the pack on charge to bring it back up. The charger knew that there was something wrong and was smart enough to trickle the pack back up to 3.2v before it hit it with 5 amps. Crosier ironically did the same thing as I did, but his charger wouldn't let him charge the pack. So these small hurtles I am clearing are with a LRP SPX. My gut hunch is that this is not the ideal speedo for 1C lipo. It will be curious to see if the Tekin boys side step these issues rapidly. I am not fond of the idea of dragging a lap top to the track so that I can tune the speedo for optimal 1C racing, but they maybe the only ones that are capable of reaching for the checkered flag first..... for the time being. Others are claiming the Novak GTB is doing just fine, but it is off the sales floor. The Novak also lacks any of the current timing profiles, so that only leaves it as only "adequate".

I'll have to pull the Speedpassion LPF out of the WGT car for you, you can adjust timing, punch, and voltage cutoff all seperate from each other, without looking it up, i think the cutoffs are 0, 2.8, 3.0, 3.2, the LPF has been "optimized" for 4cell so running on low voltage may not be a issue.

Once there was a decisive move by ROAR on classes and a big race went all-lipo (like the IIC), I think it was inevitable to see a quick move by the battery manufacturers to the 5000mah/40c profile. SMC has been able to sell through most if not all of its first generation stock, and good for them being the ones to take the inventory risk on the concept. But by their own account, they didn't fill up the battery case; they left room for a little more capacity. The ROAR case spec is pretty much SMC's, which the other manufacturers will now match. I think it will hold at the 5000mah/40c mark for awhile. That's about all the case has room for. Power density may improve, of course, but even lipos have, in general, required more room for more capacity.

My first generation SMC has been very reliable. It's been taped into my car for several months now. I may take it out in the Fall.

Guys...I have 73, 75, and 78T spurs in my shopping cart for 1/12 (1s and 13.5).

What pinion range would you recommend for hangar 30 carpet and FW asphalt, and do I need that rantge of spurs (or just stick w/75T)?

I'd say go with the 75t spur only, and then roll out between 80mm and 90mm with tire diameters from 46mm to 42mm.

I forget whom had it, but I will borrow the rc18r foams from Velocity Hobbies in case you want to purchase them to run since rubbers suXors. That is if you want to run with us.

Also I can bring a NIB Vendetta TC if someone is interested in possibly starting our class. PM if you are interested want the pricing of the store. You could purchase it online and I could bring for pickup.

I was roling at low to mid 90's at FW. But the jury is still out on that. I was using 76 spurs and between 48-54 pinions. Oh, with a 10.5! Take that info for what it's worth..... barely sorted!
