Seattle RC Racers/Hangar 30

Hey guys, just an update on some bearing requests. Some have asked for 5x9x3 for some popular hub bearings. I have some coming in the half rubber/steel shields. I am hopeful they will be here in time for trackside support this Friday for our practice day.
Long range weather is looking warmer for the weekend. We shouldn't have to kick the penguins out this time around.

Are you going to be stocking diff balls by themselves? I am going go order from boca today and am contemplating if I should also order balls. Thinking 3mm and 1/8".

I ordered some to stock at the store, I'm getting in 1/8 and 3mm ceramics, the finest money can buy. I think it's going to be $3.95 for 5 balls.

Hi Folks,
Putting out a call for a CRC rear lower pod plate. I believe mine is broke. If anyone has a spare pod plate they could bring to the Hangar, that would be great. I have one on overnight order but it might not make it.
Symptom: the pod snaps from side to side, with side links and pivot assembly alone. It sticks/snaps when i move the rear plate side to side through the center/flat position. I have replaced the links/balls/screws and still it seems in bind. The center pivot ball seems free and centered. The only thing i can think of is that the rear pod is broke or bent, moving the side link holes out of alignment and causing a bind. ??? (Maybell must have nerfed me into a board that last race.)
Thanks
Tracy

Dang it Sean, play nice!
Tracy, take the top stuff off of the car. Lay it flat on the set up board. With your finger tips, twist-pivot the side links to see if they move freely. If not, loosen the football nuts and then check the side links again. If they are still snug, loosen the 2-56 screws that suck up the pivot play and check again. If they are still snug, pop one end of the link off and find out which pivot ball is guilty then tighten up the 2-56 more then normal and hit that side with a heat gun. Let it cool and then loosen the 2-56 for a correct fit. Reassemble everything with the football still loose, lay it flat on the board, sneak up snugging the football nuts and then go for the final tightening. Now check for over all pod feel.
If that fails, pull the football out and break it down, clean it, rebuild it, etc. Tension the 2-56 screws for a smooth operation.
I should have a spare lower plate in my stash.
