I am going to try to change my schedule so I can make it. That track was really fun last time. It was great for 1/12 but I think I'll just stick to sedan unless there is enough time between heats. Last time was run, corner, run.

Ritchie,

To.me.,it.seems.you.are.being.taken.over.by.period s.

Someone make a real thread for the Hangar off road idea so we do not side track this one all the time.

well, just to pick a few items from your post.... securing the carpet, actually duct tape will stick better to the "sealer" then bare concrete, window breakage - you do know its ok to design a track that keeps the cars on the ground in that area, - why is laying out and setting up a track for 10th cars in more a PITA then it is for 1/18th, seems to me when it watched you guys put that one little track together it took more time then the big track. jumps don't need to be all that big. is that enough or do i need to continue.

like i said, I (we) know you favor the little cars, posts like yours only turns people away from the tiny stuff. I guess most of us remember SIR and what a PITA marshalling those cars were and watched how most of them couldn't make it two laps without crashing.

there is no reason that both can't work on a off road track in that area. trying to push people one way or another is just silly

Peter all respect to 1/10th but some do take 1/18th seriously... Seriously. And yes, I know its not popular as I tried last years race season to get interest up in such with minimal results.

Default Track Rebuild

Okay, here's the deal for the track rebuild. Getting everyone together at the same place and time is a challenge, particularly as we have to work around a busy hangar schedule.

Friday, February 4
5pm

Gather at the hangar, blow off the floor, and roll out the carpet.
Install layout.
Let it sit overnight.

Saturday, February 5
8am

Open practice

3pm

Teardown

We have to be out of the hangar by 4pm on Saturday. This was absolutely the only open slot for the rebuild.

Default TC6 gearing

For those who are running a TC6 in stock touring what spur gear and pinion are you using? What is your final drive? Thanks

Im using 96 tooth 64 pitch spur gear and 50 tooth pinion which gives me a 3:84:1

Whats better 64 or 48 pitch?

I run a 48 pitch 69 tooth spur and a 35 tooth pinion in my stock touring TC6. If I did the math right, This equals an FDR of 3.94:1.
