The Casino Race would be a lot of fun I am sure. I would show up just for the prime rib dinner they were nearly giving away. And how do you beat a $50/night rate? I hear there are some flights that I could stow away on. While driving by brail sounds fun, I think I will skip that drama. I'll see if I can drum up a new best friend to accompany with and make a plan out of it. It maybe Snowbirds dependent.

Victoria was great. The singular class was a treat. It's been ages since I was on a 6' lane track. While it was a ton of fun to race with everyone as a collective whole, it would be intimidating as a newbie to enter that arena. They have survived for a few decades with this format and seem to thrive. All four of us really enjoyed our visit. It was well worth the effort. There are some pics a few pages back.

Tonight is the Hanger. We could dub it the Chilly Bowl. In fact, I was thinking about loading up the crock pot with a bunch of Stag to bring trackside. It's been below freezing since Sunday and without heat in the hanger, it will be interesting to see, smell and feel. My big concern will be the brittleness of "everything". And like the lipo issue in the airplane, it will be interesting to see if they act right. I may load up the lipo sack lined with the heat pad just for the occasion. Should be interesting.

But, in case there was any doubt, put me down for Stock 1/12th

Default Hangar Open at 4pm

The Tennis Center does not have lessons this week.

So, I will be at the hangar at 4pm to get a jump on setup. If anyone wants to join me we can get the track built a little early today.

The drive to and from the Casino race has never been TOO bad...a bit slippy in spots, but never that bad. Touch wood. You'd need to rent a car (or arrange for someone to pick you up in Bismarck 'cause the Casino is way to hell and gone out in the middle of nowhere (well, the Standing Rock Reservation to be entirely accurate) damn nearly to the S. Dakota border. Let me know if I can provide info/assistance to attend.

And how do you beat the rate? Ask Neal and Stephan...room with Scottrik who picks up the tab (and breakfast buffet) with some of his Blackjack winnings. I keep threatening to enter but not even bring my gear one year. After Friday and Saturday up all day playin' with cars and all night playin with cards I'm more useless than usual trying to race Sunday. Figure I should just take a nap Sat and Sun mornings then help race direct or something.

Or, of course, there's OUR event March 4-6 and you know I'll come get you and whoever from the airport. Dinner at Chop House is on me!

The Great Falls crew runs 6' lanes, 24 feet (two carpet rolls) wide and 35-40 feet long. It's a bullring...75-80 lap runs. Teaches GREAT discipline, several minutes at a stretch with 3-4 cars running nose to tail waiting for someone to make a mistake. Those guys race on it every week (1/12 and WGT) and are pretty deadly when they get onto a track with wider lanes like here.

Just loaded up a pair of 1/12th..... so does that make them a 24th?

I will take the Astro so others can take a shot at it. It's quite the snow machine, but it's the others I am worried about.
