What's big when you don't have to run a receiver pack, boosters and all sorts of other garbage

I know they sent a bunch of stuff into ROAR for approval. That list is VERY slowly updated. I remember when I was with Orca we sent ESC's in a long time ago... and they just recently got put on the list.

Can someone explain this "internal struggle" regarding the Tekin stuff? I understand the resistance to buy based on the controversy with v.208/212 'spec' software.
But their stuff has always worked well for me, they answer their phone when I call, and they offer a nice discount to military rc racers. IMO it's either Novak or Tekin...and I've heard of/seen more Novak stuff go T.U. at the tracks.

I look at the IROCC track and see two lanes on one piece of carpet indicating that it's 6 foot lanes. At Raceway, I would shoot for 7 lanes across 36' or just over 5' wide in places. If we had a 12 second track, it was considered "fast". 14-15 second tracks were pretty common. I may dig in the box of treasures to see if I still have some layouts. It's fun to show folks what we used to do.

mail order sponsorship

When a company can't sell their over price products locally ?

They sell direct to select racers eliminating the local hobby store & tracks from the sales process .

That's bad for our sport...

Just needed to make the point , some companies steal customers from our local hobby stores & tracks by offering sponsorships to anyone ....

Thanks for your time ...
