Good racing last night. Thanks for the food, Bill and everyone who contributed. These Viper R/C motors Weylin is involved with are the next big thing. Little more gearing effort and this 17.5 I've got is going to own.
Hi wes
What is your gearing for 17.5 TC?
Are you using the Tekin?

Racing didn't get rolling until 7:15-20. It would seem that track needs to get shut down at 6:45 followed immediately with driver's meeting. That was hard to do last night as there was a waiting line to get on the stand at 6:55 trying to get a couple of laps. I know, I was one. There were several little delays between heats with little whatevers. I know those are going to happen, but only once was it a computer reboot, the rest were racers issues. There's a fine line between military timeline racing and being loose having fun. A little focus on both and I think we'll be right back on track. It may come to be that we go back to 5 minute heats if Wed night remains this popular. This is tough. Everyone is so excited to see the program grow, yet we are confined to reasonable hours. I know that there was some frustration last night over simply being able to "hear". Guys on the stand can't hear clearly enough to grid up correctly and I know Ritchie got upset not being able to clearly hear that time "was" being allowed to correct his mesh. I know that race central takes some time to set up, but what if we had a extension to place a speaker under neath the drivers stand?

Unfortunatly anyway you slice it, still too late for me.

I don't agree, 12th has always been 8mins and was not lengthened. Therefore it should stay 8min.

If classes are to be trimmed wouldn't it be fair to do it across the whole program???

Also you could run 2 Qs and a main..

Nope....1/12th has always been and will continue to be 8min. The 6minutes in the sedan classes and more recently WGT has only been implemented in the past few years.....

I think efficiency can be found in places other than cutting race time.

These are good problems. We just need to manage the growth/popularity smartly!

I think that drivers meeting took up 2 heats worth of time and there really is no point to having them. IMO.

good point, all I heard was "people gotta get home" while thrashing to get the mesh right. don't let me hold you up, go on the tone....

Hey, not everyone is a seasoned veteran so a quick set of rules/instructions isn't a bad idea. Plus it's good to welcome new drivers. I agree it could be sped up a little though.

Then again, not everyone forgets to set their mesh (you) or forgets their transponder (me).
so then is it ok for us vets to stay in the pits and set or gear mesh
