The scale spec chassis rules, as posted on the site, are not what was discussed at the meeting. Has there been a change? Is it supposed to be interpretted as "Any 1/10 electric chassis you can put HPI d-compound tires on?"

Also, there's no minimum weights posted.

Beyond the standard 4wd 1/10th scale touring car and the F103GT is there another 1/10th scale chassis that will accept that tire? Heck even the Tamiya 415 out of the box cannot accept those tires. I had to run Xray knuckles on mine to run them.

No minimum weight is needed, the cars actually handle better with more weight.

Thumbs up

The new rules are excellent and make me very happy. I'm excited to come run WGT again, and my current "stock" setup for touring car will be a lot of fun to run when we have enough people for a heat of modified.

Thanks guys.

Minimum weights...d'oh! ROAR minimums.

I think, though if there is disagreement someone will chime in, that Lilac for the WGT spec is as restrictive as we need to get. It's a pretty narrow selection as it is, and I don't foresee any conflicts that are worse than an alternative where we are specific about brands.

Scale Spec...the preponderance of chassis are straight-up TC's. Minis, and for that matter Cup Racers, are always at a disadvantage to TC's on the track. So those can run whatever tires that fit. Though as to that, aren't the Cup Racer tires D Compound anyway? Just smaller? Anyway, I think Mike is right...what else can you run that fits D Compounds? Oh, and no one-ways.

I'll update the site.
