What a spec tire does for the club is provide a level playing field for the racers so that they do not have to worry about the tire of the week and spending more money just to keep up. These tires have been tested by many and have proven to provide good grip in a variety of conditions, have a long life, and are reasonable priced. That said the general consensus of the committee is that costs need to be kept down for the typical club racer. A spec tire does just that.
Sound resonable

Find Mike Owen aka Owenracing on the Northwest Racers/NWIC Thread. He does an awesome job for a fair price. I had him anodize
my 415 last year for about 40 bucks with shipping.
