Question. I got my daughter and I a pair of 18r's but want to push brushless motors in them. The Bible doesnt say what motor limits there are for 1/18th scale. If this class open to all motors?

yes i did get it back but i havent used it yet as i am sticking with the tekin. if there was any place to practice on the weekends i would try it out and see which one i would like better but that isnt happening at the moment . plus my tekin is really fast at the moment. but since the tracks around here arent super big i thonk the mamba would do great and they are working on new software at the moment . maybe then i will give it a try as they also have the field card available now which is a programming card that allows you to also adjust the timing.

I'm not an 18th guy, but, I think the limiting facter here would be how much motor can you control. As large, and wide, as the track @H30 is, as a pracital matter, there is only so much corner speed these "Little Guys" can generate before "Traction Roll" intervenes. With that in mind, I believe there is no motor limit.

BTW, on a similar note, I have a Novak Mongoose Sensored system, w/both 13.5, and 10.5 motors sitting idle. PM me if interested

I think I will come down and see what folks are running. I will keep the system you have in mind.

Its an open class and very casual so whatever, seems to fly.

I went with a 5200 kv brushless system based on a recomendation from Kent, that told me that is what Drew (Okynary) recommended. Drew is the guy that we all get our tips from and wins every week. The 5200kv seems to be fast enough in that I am able to keep up with him, I just need to drive better. I was close to going with a 7800kv system that was similar in price, but stuck with the 5200 so we would have similar speed motors in the club.
