I heard this from the great vine..... Anyone can guess who this is? Originally from SIR.
Todd Manson,
I owe you a peltier cooler fan. I broke yours a while back. I hope, I got the right person... ;p
JeeBee,
We race a couple of times. I remember, we raced carpet foam before.... I gave you a run for the money with me JSX-R... HAha
Kody,
What's going on. I haven't talk to you for ages.
I think, I gave to much hints...

Just got back in town from Birds. It was a great trip for wgt but really up n down for 12th. Ehrlich and I both put our McKune/CRC's in the show, but a massive 3rd turn smack up left us down 1/2 lap instantly which simply can not be made up in that tight of a field. The rest of the NW Crew will have to share their triumph and tribulations. Mark Day, Tom Camou, Mike Dutemple, Pat Moorehead all had moments of glory. 12th scale was a bit frustrating. I couldn't get the foundation of a necessary set up to fine tune a great car. That's racing. Sticky Fingers is not any better then Jack and just as messy. Not sure the rubber guys liked it. Looking forward some proper Paragon. All the speedos seem to evened up once again, so long as you own a Tekin, new SXX, Mamba (for oval) or Black Diamond. Everyone else is still in catch up mode. I ran both BD and Tekin. I got the chance to sit down at length with Tekin driver Kenny Lambert. It was a great conversation about the speedo with out all the outside forum nonsense. Ironically, I felt that I had a faster combo then Kenny did in 10.5 12th, but I am far from giving set up advice with any confidence. There was some great racing at this event, some of the best I've seen in a long time. Then there were some that were up to their same old tricks (Kody knows who!
) I'll see you guys Wed the 10th for some more racing action. As a side bonus, Mike has a connection with the Pirelli Team Manager. We were treated to some vip treatment Saturday afternoon at the Rolex 24. That was awesome!

And now my report from the Birds: Newsflash: I suck.
Talk about the wheels coming off the 12th scale program. After having some massive radio glitches during practice I managed to finish 3rd in biggest hit to the boards for the weekend. The winner managed to put his car through the boards. I merely bounced off and moved the motor a 1/4" never damaging the spur. There was definitely a razor thin fine line between having a good car and having a car that was junk. Unfortunately I never found it with the 12th scale. Not sure if was the Sticky Fingers or my complete in ability to setup a car. I have a sneaking suspicion that it was actually the Sticky Fingers as others of greater ability were having similar issues. On a positive note I was 10th on the grid after the first round of qualifying. The bad news is I spent the 2nd round getting out of the way of all the fast guys. Not sure I actually made it a lap before the freight train came roaring by. As for the WGT I had a few pretty good runs and one potentially A main run that was foiled by the aforementioned radio glitches. With some CA, vise grips and the trusty Dremel I was able to reconstruct the front bumper to the car but was never able to replicate that run. I did manage to glean a few tid bits of setup information off of the pros that I will be able to put to good use in the future. Overall despite the trials and tribulations, I had a great time and would definitely do it again(no really).
Oh yeah, strolling the pits at the Rolex was awesome.

Dutemple,
Whats up! Long time no talk I text your cell. I hope it still works.
I still have your aluminum cooling fans. I borrowed for TCS.

Haha =D
Well, you guess it. Hows everyone? I haven't been in the race scene for a while. Work is a pain in my rear. I'm thinking of coming out and have fun. Any touring car stuff at this hanger?

Yeah, your interpretation is right Wes. Mad rip but turbo lag city, and my car rotates too much .... every turn is an adventure
I thought the traction of the track would come to me... but so far it hasn't worked.. so I'll be trying to narrow down what is wrong in my setup to gain some handling consistency. Also, if I can tame the turbo a bit it'll help in the infield.
I can understand why you would want to try the SPX. I would love to have the consistency and linear smoothness of the ORCA and SPX but be able to keep the temps of the motor in check that the Tekin allows. I'm sure more tweakin' of the tekin and it'll be better but I hope Orca figures it out sooner than later so I can go back. That being said I'd rather be playing with the software than shaving commutators and balancing round cells , so its all good if you ask me.
race on !

p.s. Bill, a scalded monkey ? .... hmmm, I thought it was more like a raped ape !
