Have fun freezing your butts off! I'm in the airport on my way to Florida for the JConcepts Clash! I won't be there on Saturday so if you guys plan on needing anything from the shop make sure you have Sean bring it down tonight.

Sean,

If it isn't too late already: could you please bring a Robinson 48p 25t pinion to the H?

Thanks,

-G

Default Great Night of Racing!

Wow, as if there were any doubt that this club likes to race...the traffic was awful, and the scoring computer froze (thankfully we have a backup), but we fired up the heaters and ripped it up! 41 entries: some more Renegade Canadians, an eight-year-old Peeler (amazing), and Jeff Kuney with a brand new 1:12 scale having a battle royale with Sean in the main. Panda kept his tuckus warm by the kerosene heater and called the races, "Beep "

Thanks for the turnout, you all are an inspiration.

Todd M.

Default Track Layout Contest

Okay, as many of you know, we are building a new track in January. We'll have new carpet and new barriers. But, we need a layout. We will not be changing layouts! So, the one we choose should have classic elements that will provide for awesome racing over the long term.

Here's the spec and materials:

84' by 50' overall dimension.
Minimum 8' lane width.
Back straight width should be 10'.
No dots on high speed sweepers.

540' of vinyl downspout in 10' lengths.
High density flapper plastic in maximum 8' lengths.
Plastic dots.
Green infield carpet.

There can be no more than six odd-size downspout sections, including the necessary two for the 84' perimeter barrier. In other words, the main barrier comes in 10' sticks. We're not chopping it up!

It should be neither a "sedan" track nor a "1:12" track. We're looking for an iconic Hangar 30 track.

It runs clockwise.

You can circulate your submission for critique on the 19th and 23rd. Drawings must be to scale on graph paper with downspout sections clearly indicated.

Racers in attendance on the 30th will choose the layout. By consensus, if possible; by vote, if necessary.

The club buys the winner a body and tires of his or her choice from the RC Hobbies tub.

Default Eskimo Grand Prix

It was another great night of racing at the Hangar! Nice to see so many showing up despite the cold. I was suprisingly comfortable thanks to peelers pocket warmers and Jakes hot coco. Thanks Jake!

What a great battle with Kuney in the main!

Thanks Hangar crew! Cant wait for the next one!

Default H30 Lost & Found

Someone left a Spektrum DX3R at the hangar last night. It's safe and warm in my possession. Will the rightful owner please claim it?

I bet you didn't expect to see that "eight-year-old peeler" coming from Cadada
