In any run of 50 motors, by any brand at any price point, I would not be floored if an out of spec component slipped into the mix. So, I will grant you your #1.

Until a pattern emerges, I will not grant you your #2. Allow me to formally and publicly push back on that one. You don't have enough to go on to draw that conclusion.

On #3, it would seem many/most of our racers are quite satisfied with the formula

I am okay with the 60.00 motor just for fun H30 club race only ...and no farther..
But there no question about my rotor is out of spec..Gauss meter don't lie...I am not talking about small number out of tolerance

I really hate doing this, but it needs to be made clear:

1. All comparisons of the Maclan motor to another are pointless at our track..... It is the only one allowed in the scale spec class at Seattle RC Racers. There may be faster motors out there because this changes all the time in our hobby but it doesnít matter for racing at Seattle RC Racers because....... the Maclan 25.5 is still the only motor allowed at our track in the Scale Spec class!

If for whatever reason you feel there is a problem with your particular motor, Iím sure Maclan will be willing to hear you out.

2. The price extended to our racers does not reflect the quality of the motor. It reflects the fact that the club is taking some of the financial burden off the racerís shoulders and giving you an awesome deal on a motor by not trying to bleed your wallet dry (trust me, we donít conspire together to take everyoneís money. This hobby is already $$$). We are not making a profit like a typical retailer would be.

It is still in every way a high quality motor with high quality components that I would be happy to put in my car. It is the same motor that you would buy from online retailers like Amain (or typically better since an upgraded rotor is already included in the motors sold by Seattle RC Racers). Seattle RC Racers and Maclan arenít short changing you.

See the end of response #1 if you still think your particular motor has an issue.

3. By #3, it looks like you understand why we did what we did . We wanted to spec a singular, quality motor that promotes closer racing at a lower cost to racers. I think we have accomplished that.

Thank you!

Solid night of racing by everyone involved!
It was good to see Team Lence last night with a couple of legitimate novice drivers!

Speaking of scale spec... I'm gonna run mod this weekend, so my Scale Spec car is available if anyone wants an arrive-and drive.

Ah, yes that was really cool, and fun to see the Mini's run with the class. The best part of the night was seeing Kyle's car being held together with two packets of hot sauce and some lucky 777s

If Mike doesn't take it, I will. I hear Bradshaw is running this Saturday.

Need to reenact my favorite "Days of Thunder" scene.....
