im looking forward on running in the spec class this coming season. I will be the new guy but an old racer. hopefully ill figure out the gearing and motor choices this year.
After six months, only two 25.5 motors are ROAR approved. At F1 races down in LA, anything that says "25.5" on the can is considered OK. Not a great situation at all. Is somebody selling an affordable rev limiter?

there's bound to be more 25.5 in market by the coming indoor season.
If I may, I loved that SRCR picked one motor to go with with no tuning rotors allowed. All I had to do was buy a vented endbell to keep the motor cool for enduros, but aside from that it was awesome and could run for seasons without performance drop.
I feel this keeps the racing spirit going (especially for newer drivers), without having to worry about motor of the month like all the other classes.

I would think just pick a new motor (I believe someone mention Reedy was now the TCS spec) and allow that along with the current Novaks and that way guys can still run till they're done and move on to the new one...
Kind of works itself out.

The Comp Committee has not convened around this subject, yet.
But, I can say I favor a conservative decision overall.
That is, something that resembles our current rule set which has served so well for the class.
I'm just one person, however. Your Comp Committee ultimately has the say.

As a general rule I find the solution for most problems are provided by the use of shock collars.

yep, definitely prefer to allow the novaks to run with whichever new motor is picked.
My vote for Scale Spec is to run the 21.5 motor like we do for outdoor. The 21.5 feels like the perfect motor for a touring car. Not too fast and not too slow. I think many drivers would back me up on that. With the 25.5 being so slow you really have to buy 6-8 to hopefully get 1 good one and that cost too much money for most of us. I prefer to buy 1 or maybe 2 at the most and be done with it.
I wish someone would have told me that earlier, I've been running the only one I ever bought for a couple 3 or 4 years now.

SRCR looking to be well represented at IIC this year, I'm looking forward to going head to head with Mike Boyle in two classes. Bodine is a monster, signed up for 4 pan car classes including pro 10, Korey on the list too. Who else is going?
