Default gear diff

For those interested in the gear diff, and not to say they may have fixed one of the inherent problems that we had 30+ years ago running a diff that was that exact design, be aware that we had problems stripping teeth. More of a problem with the 64 pitch, we had better luck when they dropped down to 32 pitch. Basically if you came to an abrupt stop, like hitting a wall or another car, the teeth on the spur tended to break. Happened a lot. I can't say that maybe they found some better plastic to make them out of, and at least the teeth are very wide so that should help. Just something to be aware of.

Too bad the race is canceled this Saturday, should mean no excuses from anyone not being ready Oct 10. Can't wait.

This is the Delta gear diff from back then,

We will open our season on the next scheduled date, October 10.

If forward drive is what you want to improve you can always use a 16ball diff gear with thick grease.
Any one else feel offended by this?

Default Fund Drive

Hi folks,

In an effort to keep the dream alive, I am writing a quick note to request for pledges towards the SEATAC asphalt track. (Todd can’t do all the asking.)

(queue in sarah mclachlan “angel” background music)

Each year, rc racers around America look forward to the summer racing season. Many have caring “home” tracks supported by loving racers and hobby business owners alike. But, sadly, there are many clubs that do not. They wonder where will they race in the upcoming seasons. Will there be a car parked right in the middle of the straight when they get to the parking lot on Saturday morning? Will they have enough traction on a dusty parking lot? Will that extra space in the parking lot be sold off to make way for a Ross Dress for Less store?
Now, Seattle RC Racers asks for your donation. Please help provide that permanent home for the rc racers you care about. Together, we can provide a safe and secure place for rc racing here in the Puget Sound region for years to come. Please donate now….(music playing)...

OK, you get the point….If you are able to contribute to the fund drive for the SEATAC asphalt track, please do so as soon as possible. There are many of us in the club and those not so directly involved who have been working for a long time to get this done. Now is the time to help push this through. The track will be an outstanding resource for everyone, regardless of their level of involvement in rc cars.

It’s easy. Go to www.seattlercracers.com and follow the donation link to paypal. Or donate at the next club race to Brian Bodine (treasurer).

Thanks to everyone who has made a donation and to all those who have helped so far!

Bummer. Well, looks like I have more time to play with the motor analyzer and maybe work on the rest of the RC collection. I miss you guys!

Also, thank you for the donation reminder, our onroad track will be amazing!

Very SAAAAD, however a good reason to give my budgeted fees to the SEATAC track.

$55.00 i think.

Was planning on bringing the gang.

Maxwell 17.5 1/12, 17.5 TC
Ryan 17.5 1/12, 17.5 TC
Mckenna novice running my CRC (As long as it holds up)
Madison novice running my ARC R10 (As long as it holds up)
Emma novice running Max's XRAY T3 (It better last, no parts)

Kind of making my own loaner cars this year.

Also i did a small side project and my CEO (My wife), put the money into the on-road fund. So I could not think of a better use than building a TC MOD car.

So Kody just send me a box of parts and several tires, here is what i have thus far toward this project.

ARC R10 2015 USA
Reedy BlackBox ESC (Very cool that i can use it for 1 and 2 cell)
Reedy Sonic M3 5.5 Turn (i am sure it is still way to fast)
Turnigy nano-tech 7500, 90C

I still need a good servo, and time to built it.

Maybe by the 10th I will be ready.

Quick update. We're at $19,015 toward our slightly revised goal of $20,550.

We're almost there!

Default Hauler Bag suggestions

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for some advice. I'm looking for an alternative to my "Racers Edge 1/8th scale" hauler bag. Basically, I love the bag except it is 1/8th scale and I'd love a 1/10th scale version of the exact same bag. I intend to put less stuff in my hauler bag going forward so I it would be ideal is I could fit in my daily driver easier. Unfortunately Racers Edge doesn't sell such a thing, which is sad because the quality of their bag is VERY good in many respects. I'm looking to buy NEW. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Jake

Hello,

Will I have to purchase a RC4 transponder or is it just highly suggested? I searched on the website and didn't find anything written there, but I did remember talking to somebody about it last season and both this thread and the FB page mention the RC4.

I believe the club still has transponders you can borrow.

Depends if you want a bag with rollers or not.

If you want a smaller version of the racers edge I would look at the team magic hauler bags. I think Franko has one but i dont know which model.

There are plenty of options for bags without rollers.
