WOW, what an awesome night at SIR.

Think we had 15 or 16 in GT3 class alone...

The house was packed with peeps ready to roll on a festive banquet silver can Sat.

Thanks to the organizers, announcers, food-bringers, and behind-the-scenes folks.

Really a fun night at a great race venue!

Thanks. I think the outcome would likely be a bit different if those starting hang-ups at turn 2 or 3 didn't happen. Feel lucky I could hang on...getting more nervous as minutes went by!

Well... I did it. I bought a 10r5 tonight. So who's down for kicking my butt Wednesday night? Lynn, Maybell, Patrick, Les, Kevin, Reed, and JB.......? I know you want to. We have a nice sized group now. Lets throw them down and get some practice in before NWIC comes to SIR.

My plan is for 10.5 4 cell. If it were mixed motors and batteries(which it will be) I vote for 10.5/4 cell or 17.5/7.2 lipo. Or as an alternate 13.5/4 cell and 21.5/7.2 lipo

As a follow up, the rules should be figured out soon and by soon I mean within the next week or two. We don't need 3 months of motor and battery testing. The longer the indecision the more disinterested people will become especially those looking to see if the class is going to take hold. Set the rules and race, end of story.

And as a follow up to the follow up I would actually vote for 13.5/4 cell plus whatever lipo combo comes close. This is supposed to be a spec class and should be slower.

Long Live WGT!

Agreed!!! Originally it was and the IIC was the first 'big race' guinea pig. It was a raging success but like always, once it hits the masses (us club racers), folks wanna throw SPEED in the damn things and ruin the class before it grabs a hold as a legit/viable class.

Poor us, wouldn't know a good thing if it drove up and hit us in the ankles

having witnessed 4cell 10.5 vs, lipo 17.5, 4 cell/10.5 is faster.

I currently have a 4cell 10.5 setup in mine. however, after having driven the car a bit. I must admit that 10.5 is going to be tough on SIR's track. Either way it will be fun and very competitive. I've got a 13.5 i can use so just let me know how the group wants to go.

Sounds like the 4 cell power plant needs to be figured out before the LiPo needs to worry about matching. I was told it was 10.5, and also heard the TZ recently voted 10.5.

I set mine up attempting to match 10.5. Prob. a bit slower like you posted, doesn't bother me, I think they will be close enough to compete...and the 17.5 LiPo is plenty of motor for SIR IMO.

JB....you ran mine...was 17.5 slower then 10.5....and was it enough to worry about??

When Kody was running his 10.5 WGT with my TC5 13.5 they were very close down the straight in overall speed. Didn't seem all that overpowered to me.
