What is really crazy is the fact that ALL of the top 10 Truggy times are faster then the TQ buggy time... Make sure to tell him to keep it up!!

holy cow those are some of the biggest names in the biz. look how close the times are in truggy. very close. go k-kid go!!!

SNIDE 11-02-2007 10:21 AM

Here is an update from Dilly.........

here's the lowdown.....

practice was THE most important at this race. Taylor put himself at the front of a 100ft straight. The importance of this is now he has the best shot at being in the top 4 at the end of 20 laps....(they are doing 20 laps instead of time) being in the top 4 puts him straight into the show...just like moto-x. if he doens't get top 4 then he has to go thru another qualifier and farther back on the starting grid. He almost did 8 laps in 5 minutes...until the last lap, he had a slight bobble and he lost his 8 lapper. He would of been the only one to do 8 laps. There are 5 guys doing under 43 second laps...Taylor being one of them.

bye the way, Taylor is running Werks tires that have 20 minutes of Truggy Nats on them, plus Mapston practice...now 10 minutes of the most tire wearing abrasive track I have seen.

These guys are on a whole nother level down here and Taylor is on top of that level!!! What a stud!

stavman 11-02-2007 10:58 AM

What a freaking STUD...

I told ya we could hang with anyone in the world with some of the best guys from up here...

Nice ta see TP whoop some butt

Keep it up kid

Stav

snailison 11-02-2007 11:07 AM

Did live rc go down?

stavman 11-02-2007 12:05 PM

It did.. keeps doing it... bummer missed TP's run

Cyberfish 11-02-2007 12:31 PM

Anyone know how the rest of the format goes. I guess they were taking the top 4 from each heat directly to the main...how many make it total? Do the rest of them go to the LCQ now?

snailison 11-02-2007 12:34 PM

Some people on there said they were doing it just like motocross. The website doesn't really say anything like that it just says 3 rounds of qualifying best 2 rounds
http://nitrocrossworldchampionships.com/

JeremyS 11-02-2007 02:36 PM

yeah they are doing it like Moto-x. top 4 from each Quali go to the main event of 15 cars. the rest of the 15...well thanks for comin...

not sure how they get 15 out of 3 quals with strait through....
stay tuned, i'll bet we find out.

Dylan , who went down with TP to pit and run, is sitting 3rd overall in intermediate Buggy!!!!

Representin' for the NW!!!!!!!

cookiebitch 11-02-2007 06:03 PM

Thanks for all the support everyone! It was a really fun week with a little bad luck, me and dylan did everything we could to get a podium position and thought we had it in truggy but the curse of the nitro pit took my rear diff out.lol (rear diff went out in my truck at the nitro challenge while leading the B also) Buggy was a lot tuffer for me, motor falling out ect....lol Oh and dylan would have dominated his buggy main if we could of got his motor runing, he also won the best bit female dog award once again. No one was faster!

Thanks to my Dad for all the support!

Time to get ready for the snow!

SNIDE 11-05-2007 06:32 PM

redman 11-06-2007 07:35 PM

BEST video I've seen on RC Tech!!!

Someone said there is racing???

dylanj 11-16-2007 09:43 PM

WOW!!! I just saw this thread for the first time...

Thanks everyone for the support. What a fun weekend we had. We thought my motor would run due to fuel lines, glow plug, etc...but NOPE. I will save money for other people...don't bother with ceramic clutch bell bearings...I ran them in my last qualifier and figured they were ok for the main (previous reports were that they would last twice as long as regular) Usually when these bearings go the motor will die as soon as you let off the gas or hit the brakes...not in this case...VERY frustrating. But I wasn't there to get myself a full ride sponsorship...

Had a great time meeting drivers from all over the world. Hung out with Raul Peris for the whole weekend. He has some VERY interesting set ups... the best part was all the BIG names recognizing Taylor...crap was hitting the fan in alot of the big names' pits when Taylor tq'd practice. He was alot faster than the time showed...he had one small mess up at the end of the NON-rythm section that cost about 4 seconds...without that he would of had the only 8 lap run...but thats racing...great time...any chance you get to race at the Pit...DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
