Rick-ster:
The track is a little bigger than what I had in Albany. None of the cool elevation changes, but good size and a fun layout. The drivers stand is nice, and pit/parking should not be a problem. We do have power, but bring extension cords. Our water tanks will not be functioning yet...but my guess is that will not be an issue.
For Tires:
1/8th - Crimes(M2, some like M3), Bowties(M2), Komodo II (MS), Gators
Trugg - Crimes, Bowties, Boas
1/10th - I like Bowties(M3), many others like Snake Eyes
MT - well...pretty much anything short of stock tires! I run Losi King Pins on the LST2
Track:
We have been working like mad to try and get the track ready. Basically what we have is a low spot on the track, we dug trenches to flow all the water into the one low spot, and we can cove that with our "dance floor" so nothing but water can get in. HOWEVER, after today's no rain day, the hole was already dry. We have the layout set up so that we can run even if we get a fair amount of rain. I discussed it with Mike, both what he wanted, and what RCSX thought the track could take. If we can get a decent day Saturday, and the rain has stopped by say 3:00-4:00pm Saturday, then we will plan to go ahead with the race. However, if at that time we are still getting rain we will let everyone know on here, and on the RCSX site, and start planning for the rain date. The date was set a little earlier in the season than we had hoped, but with so many races around the northwest, scheduling can be a bit of a challenge. Mike's doing a great job getting this thing off the ground! Thanks Mike!
OH, and on start times:
7:30am Gates Open
8:30am Open Practice
9:45am Drivers Meeting
10:00am Racing Starts
If anyone has any other questions, you can PM me, or call Cottage Grove RC Hobbies and ask for Richard 541-942-3335.
OH, and it looks like if we can get some help on the weather, we should have a pretty good turnout. Looking forward to having everyone to the track, should be a great race!!

thanks rich.... it will be good to run with you again....
i am going to try and make alot more local stuff, really miss the atmosphere at the local races. the big races have got so crazy that they are almost not even fun to do anymore, there are so many racers that its just insane, and unless you can fly out to the tracks and run on them to get your stuff dialed the weeks prior to race day, its even that much tougher.
stuff is pretty dialed so i am ready..
i am going to see if austin wants to run one of the sportsman classes in either 1/8 or stadium.... i think he would like that.

Mid day today. If the clouds look they are starting to break up...as the weather is calling for. We will be good to go.
If not, if the clouds continue to hang around, and with the showers we had last night. We probably won't dry out enough to race.
I'll post at, or as close to 3:00pm as possible. Should be able to make a prety good decision by then.
Sorry guys, that is best we can do with this weather...wish I had more control! If you have any questions, you can give me a call at Cottage Grove RC if you have any questions. 541-942-3335 (ask for Richard)
