Well guys can't stand it any longer... Have been walking the property for the last year dreaming of hitting the lotto and getting a building up on my 20 acres. Looks like I may have enough Equity in the old home stead to find the $$$$. Here are some spy photos of the site and a layout of the building... The track is just a quick pass at a scale drawing... 124 'x 70' building, with a track layout of 100' X 60'.
There is currently no indoor carpet track in the Portland Metro area and the approach we see would be: Weekly night club races, a Saturday race schedule, and hopefully joining in on the N.W.I.C.
24 hrs. access via card reader, and monthly memberships etc.
Stay tuned for further details, I will talking with the Bank in the next week or two....

Naw that parking up there.... This area down by the house would make an excellent off road track... well until I do hit the lottery and we pave it.....
Thanks for the good vibes guys... hell i figure if this RC Thing does not work out I'll rip up 4" of asphalt and have a horse arena, which all the goat ropers around here would love....

for a second... I thought you said: goat rapers! Now that's not right.
So we could have an I-5 carpet series in one weekend? One of the most fun things I ever did r/c racing was in off-road... hugh.. about 16 years ago.... was load up an rv to do 3 days of racing at 3 different tracks. There was this guy Eric and the other Dan who I went with. One of them worked for the police force repairing radio equipment (fun guy). We hit some track in Aberdeen/Kelso area that was the size of a shoe box that had a ramp half way up the wall with a giant table in the middle. I don't remember what class I was in... maybe something 2wd. I think we hit a track in Portland somewhere, but the details have left me. Then we head back north to Tacoma. I remember the early cell phones, the brick Motorola's, calling in our registration info. We charged on the road and were peaking off as we rolled in the drive way. We stunk, had dirt all over us, couldn't open our eyes, but carried a car and tx to the stand in the nick of time to hear: go! All three of us were in the zone. I recall TQ'ing in everything we entered. I think we were all spun out by the mains.
That was cool.
Can we do that again?

Wow Mark, you guys really are the movers and shakers of the south end rc community. Pretty exciting. I know Mark and I are just waiting for the nitro season to start, would be cool to figure a way to run nitro year round.
