Some of us work std hours, which means commuting in traffic. I doubt you go from Salem to la center in that time during the rush.
I can respect his position.

That said,
I'm addicted; the 1:30min drive is worth it.
I plan on getting up to TZ II as many thurs. nights as I can.

See ya'll Sun.

Now I'm off to enjoy my turkey coma, HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

and i work standard hours but can get away from work to race.. its the sarcafice i choose to do to race at tz... and its worth it.

i would love to live 40 miles closer but hey... i prefer salem

gosh darn turkey sleepy powers got me!@!

Default Carpet VS Off road

O.K... I do not get it!
I keep seeing people that want to sell their carpet cars and they say "its to far or the new track is close to my house"
I know of several people that travel to TZ atleast once a week from Seattle, Tacoma, Salem,Ect with no complaints.
So... My question is are these guys true off road guys that picked up carpet racing because A-amain closed?
I can tell you that there IS NOT a better place then TZ II anywere in the Nation!
Its the largest carpet track, $5.00 racing that includes hotdogs, people are great, and Mark and Rick do it because they love it... not for profit!
Sooo..... Please STOP using the excuse that ITS TO FAR; just say I LIKE OFF ROAD BETTER!!!!

I have a off road track 10 min from my house but I choose to drive 50 min to race at the nicest racing facility in the NW. The people that I race with, the fun I have racing and the owners Mark and Rick make it all worth while for me not to buy another off road car. I can't ever think of a time racing off road that I really had a whole lot of fun. I have had more fun in my worst days of on road racing then my good days at off road racing.

Given a choice some folks will have a preference in what they race, and even the best indoor carpet track in the US is not going to change things. If a carpet track was five minutes from my house and the dirt was thirty I would race offroad. Kind of like the guys from SEA that drive all the way down here when they have a perfectly good indoor offoad track to race on. I respect everyone who races "RC TOY CARS" im not going to give them a bad time no matter what they race. Well maybe I can give crap to the guys who race 1/5 scale. I'm just jealous.

I have never been to this track before, but I am planning on going up there next week on the 12. I here this is a great place and great people to race with. So I am looking forward to it. But what is the best FDR for this track? I have a TC5 with a Tekin 17.5 motor and a LRP SPX speedo. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also is the tire sauce for this track, Jack the Gripper?

Its a preference, some guys prefer on-road, others prefer off-road and some could care less and will just go with whatever is most convenient. Rather than get all worked up when a racer decided to race somewhere or something else just wish them well and hope they find their way back one day.
