Does your post pertain to Jaybee's question to myself?
Cause if it does and I wasn't sponsored by who I am I'd still recommend the same thing!
On another note the SP motors are very nice as well. There motor/speed'o combo works great. In JB's case as he own's an LRP speed control, a well known combo is what I've posted above.

Even though I felt like crap and wanted to go home, I had fun with 10.5 and thought the speed was good. But like Greg I wouldn't mind playing with 13.5 boosted.

I agree that 10.5 felt very similar to 17.5 so I didn't really feel I was learning [ as much ] about throttle control and BRAKE control as I do when I run an unrestricted 5.0 motor. My hope is we just run open Mod.

Well my 10.5 was very fast. Definitely did not feel like 17.5, to me
Then again, I stand to gain something from a middle class which also puts me in the minority.

10.5 = zzzzZzzzzzzZzzzzzzz
You learn a lot more in modified if you're actually running REAL mod motors. Braking tecnique is huge, which you won't get to exercise much in other classes. Modified is about driving tecnique and chassis setup. Not a motor or battery war like 10.5 will more than likely turn into.

Actually, I do...cause mine went poof on the last lap.
So,as far as the mod class, it seems like we're all over the place on which motor to run...and other people are now choosing not to race because of it. The question is, how are we gonna find a common ground to keep the mod class going, and to keep things fun?
Or should we just call it a season? ...cause that's obviously the way things are headed...
