Default FDR question for VTA

What's the general consensus for the 'right' final drive ratio for a VTA rig at a FWR event? I've got a TC3 and a JL-10e, which both have a 2.5 internal ratio. One has a 21.5 Novak and the other has a 25.5 Novak. I'm running a 69 spur on both, with a 40-tooth pinion, as I heard that 4.2-4.5 is the conventional wisdom. But.....I figured I'd check with folks that are familiar with the FWR track layouts.

Thanks in advance!

question to you...69T it is the 64 or 48 pitches spur gear?

48 pitch. I'm glad I'm in the ballpark.

Lemme guess, you guys are giving me the RC equivalent of sending the new guy for a left-handed crescent wrench and a box of grid squares?

Yes, they are oblong shaped and come with spring loaded motor mounts to keep proper tension.

Don't worry, be happy. Someone will get this handled.

You bet Sheriff...look smack dab in the middle of all the wreckage and you'll find me very near by.

Likely I'll hop track to track so my nemesis will have difficulty tracking me down.
