Greetings to Rose City:

I hope you're ready for your annual ass-kicking courtesy of the Seattle crew.

See you Saturday.

Yours in Devoted Friendship,

Team Mason

P.S. The Ducks can suck it.

What an outstanding weekend of racing! All joking aside, on behalf of the Seattle crew, let me extend a big thank you to the Rose City Scale Racers for hosting an excellent event. The track is quality, the overall setup works perfectly, the crew is friendly and hard working, and the on-track effort was topnotch in all classes.

You have a real 1/12th talent in Chad, who pushed us right to the limit of our abilities. He bested me, and it was up to Brian to hold the Seattle line, which he did, just barely. Hats off to you, buddy!

The Tonya sighting was the surreal cap to an overall wonderful weekend in the Washington backwoods. We'll be back!

Thank you Rose City Scale Racers!
What a whirlwind weekend. I am not sure that I could have stuffed more entertainment into a few days. After punching out of work Fri in style with a double bird, load up the Edmonds Short Bus, jam in a bit of UW football, alarm clock gets stuffed at 0 Dark 30, 3hr+ road trip where I get to regret the evening's dining choice, navigate the scenic drive through the woods along the river (no Sasquatch sightings this time out) and then finally settle into the task at hand. Clearly Chad has listening closely to what is pertinent and relevant. He applied it perfectly and proficiently. Chad is a player these days! Wow. Never once did I come off track thinking that if I drive just a little better, I can stay ahead. No. It was more like: ok, you're one tap away from being beat, you'd better find something faster next round. After a goofy night at the pizza joint across the street where Todd bumps into his long lost love lust (it was getting awkward so we all had to drag him out before something happened). I thought that I had the recipe for certain victory Sun AM, but once again, Chad is listening intently. After capturing the first 4 heats, it was down to the final round to settle who's going home with TQ. Chad lays down the run of his life I feel. I know, because was doing the same and not making any mistakes. He passes me on the the clock but is still behind me where I can do nothing but forge forward in hopes to keep the margin slim. After the dust settles, after two combined heats, 16 minutes of qualifying, 960 seconds, the margin of TQ was 1.5 seconds in my honor. But Chad took the fastest run of the weekend. Going into the main, my thoughts are: ok, you're on pole, but you're gonna get smoked if you don't find something more. I made a tiny motor adjustment. A tick more aggressive front end change. A practice launch on the straight prior to grid up. All I had to do was nail the start. On the tone, the car went a little wide through the sweeper and Chad reacted to show inside. I closed it back up and found the groove quickly and put my head down. I built up a cushy 2 second lead 3/4's of the way through and solo tapped the front left losing 0.5ths. Don't panic, but here comes Chad charging hard. As the clock winds down, I kept thinking: I still have the position advantage and he'll have to make a pass move. But on this day, old age and treachery wins out over youth and skill. The margin was 0.8ths! Of course, why wouldn't have been? Where was Todd? Day dreaming of Tanya only 4 seconds back! I can not thank the guys enough for keeping this game real, for the push to continually do better than you thought you could achieve, and the friendships and respect that develop in doing so. Then there was that whole Seahawks vs SF game last night.....I gotta find a quiet beach some place.

Brian

I would like to race your program. But I cannot find a Maclan 25.5 anywhere for Scale Spec. Is this Rule still in effect? And if so who has them locally? Thank You.
