Just some friendly reminders for Sunday:- It will be hot, bring water and stay hydrated, use sunscreen. - There is minimal tree cover in the lot, so be prepared for heat coming up from the surface as well. - If you came last year we were in the North lot, this year we are in the South lot (our preferred surface so we are off 216th street near the tennis courts and not off 212th like last year).- If you get there before us you may be asked to move so that we can get the pit tents and race central up where we need them so don't get too comfy if you are super early.- We hope to start judging the concourse entries as soon as the track and gear are ready so we can start the races as early as possible. - If you have not raced here before there is plenty of food nearby (Pizza, Burger King, Dairy Queen, and a 7-11 are just a block away, grocery store, Jack in the box, Dicks, McDonald's, Starbucks, just a little further).- If things are going smooth we will allow the practice time and short breaks between the qualifiers and main. If people are being slow to get to corners and such it will allow for less practice time or breaks.- Remember while we are racing with a chance at prizes and such, accidents do happen and you need to keep cool. It's just tiny cars. If you have an issue that you need to be addressed let the race director or tech team know.- If you are bringing a generator, please try to keep it out of the pit area so people do not need to suck on the fumes. - It is Seafair weekend so Seattle and ferry traffic will be rough, but we might get to see a few cool jets. Next, race day updates and this has something special...
8/28 Race - Cancelled, sorry but as discussed 4 weeks in a row is just too much so we had to break it up for the sanity of the race directing crew.
9/4 - Just approved today so this is a go, and a great way to spend a day of the long weekend.
9/18 - Put into place to replace cancelling 8/28 and approved. This will be the final outdoor club race of the season and where we plan to hold the drawing for the car kits.
9/24 - Yes a Saturday. We will be racing at the House of Fire Car Show in Mukilteo (https://mukilteochamber.org/carshow/). We are still working out the fine details, like if they are putting us in a giant tent and if we are setting up on Friday or before racing on Saturday, but this will be a great event where we can show the fun of RC racing to bunch of folks that love cars and hopefully help generate interest in the hobby that may benefit not only GRCR, but other local clubs and hobby shops as well. It is late in the year for outdoor on-road but hopefully we can get a decent turnout of racers and put on a good show. This event should run from 10am to 4pm and we will provide more details as things get closer. If you have questions just let us know.

Also, I have been trying to reach you at the store the last couple of days to see if you all had anything you want us to put up for the store at the House of Fire Car Show? I will try giving the store a call again on Monday.

Yeah, I had a long pull so I took yesterday off for a rare 3 day weekend. I'll be at the shop until about 4 on Monday
